The only thing I regret about visiting Front is not having stopped by sooner!
I was looking for a café with outdoor seating to do some work and we just happened to pass by on our way to Tartine (which we didn’t go to). They had tons of table space and a cool wooden bleacher seating area with a cover.
I ordered a black coffee - probably some of the best I’ve had in a while - and a ham and feta scone. It was still fresh and warm! Service was friendly and quick. Definitely can’t wait to come back to chill another time. Really wish this place came up higher on search engines, such a solid coffee shop.

Consistently the best batch brew coffee I've ever had. Don't turn your nose up just because it's not an individual pour over. The coffee here is top notch.
A very good cup of coffee!
I’m pretty disappointed in the matcha latte. Looks and tastes like they just shook up the milk and matcha. Properly steamed milk has a velvety texture due to the micro foam. You can see the air bubbles are huge.Might try them again in the future. Maybe it was just the barista that day.

Love this little sun-drenched cafe!! Delicious, thoughtfully made coffee (roasted in their giant roaster behind the cafe!). The baristas are so friendly, talented and knowledgable, and their unique parklet is the perfect spot to sit and soak up this little neighborhood pocket's vibes. The pastries are top-notch (and I am a total croissant snob), though PLEASE! Bring back the buttered biscuit "jammies"!

Yummmm....???????The flaky, buttery, jammy biscuits...are ??worth??the??drive??! If you live within walking distance, lucky, lucky you.Have been regularly visiting friends who recently moved to this part of the city, and Front Cafe has become a fast favorite. Get there early enough you will have your choice of several yummy options, like the layered buttery biscuits, soft chocolate chip cookies sprinkled with sea salt, sample some amazing cheesecake (it's not on the menu, yet, give it time...) homemade by Keek's!Great espresso coffee drinks, great location, sunny corner spot across from Theater Artaud. Front Cafe team is super cheerful, funny and always bringing great energy! ?????????

One of the best cappuccino’s I’ve had. Amazing smooth flavor.
Just passed by this cafe and the barista offered me some furikake popcorn, it was delicious and I shall return for more!
