Gallery Cafe has a nice and welcoming atmosphere. The inside of the cafe looks so nice. The service is great, I have no complaints, only praise. The coffee here is pretty good. The sandwich was delicious. If I am ever working around the area, I will be sure to come and have my lunch.

I would most definitely recommend this place! Child and family friendly . All the other picture reviews didn’t show that there are games available freely to play with while enjoying your meals. It’s always hard to keep kids occupied and off their devices so this is a gem of a place!

I had a pretty tough time rating this place because I LOVED this place walking in. I loved the eclectic and eccentric feel that oozed a little Fallout. I couldn’t help but love how nothing matched and all the hidden monsters, but I was less excited that most of the tables weren’t flat or even. So it was difficult to eat or navigate hot coffee on their tables. The service was excellent and we were helped immediately after walking in. I wished things were a bit cleaner, but the food was delicious. I had a lox bagel and coffee. Coffee was solid, but I thought it was weird to have cup full of dirty dishwater to put dirty spoons after mixing your coffee. I’d definitely go back, I just wish things were a bit cleaner.

Ordered a mocha with 2 percent milk in a porcelain mug. Ended up getting horrible food poisoning within 20 minutes.

This place made me wait over 30 minutes for a breakfast sandwich that wouldn’t come. They could not refund my order because they do not track them properly- they needed a receipt they never gave me. The coffee was dull and flavorless. The tables were dirty and the general space cluttered. Finally, they were “out of plates” despite only 3 plates being used in the room.Understaffed. Mismanaged. Gross/dirty. Avoid.

Such a great local spot. They serve breakfast and lunch, have Wi-Fi, and the vibes are chill. They make great sandwiches and lattes. Stop by and ring the bell if you’re in the area!Vegetarian options: Beyond loaf, salads, breakfast sandwiches.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, accessibility button for main door, tables can either move or already have space for a wheelchair/assistance.

So glad this place is open again after nearly 2 years of earthquake retrofitting! They’ve cleaned it up a bit, so it is less cluttered, feels cleaner, and has more lighting. But they still have and retained a lot of their quirkiness and decor.I love coming here and working. I hear they are making a sound proof room rspecially for ppl working remotely. Good prices especially for the city, and big portions for their various sandwiches and drinks.New staff people are also really friendly and funny and very down to earth. They just opened a few weeks ago and are still refining some things, so when you come please be understanding and kind!

My memory for this corner stop will always be as a grocery store where I'd get a can or bottle of soda in my grammar school days after a few hours of practicing or playing basketball across the street; heck, this grocery store is where I bought my first box of Kraft's macaroni and cheese to share with my family, an item not easily found in Chinatown those days. The Betty Ann Ong Chinese Recreation Center, formerly known as 'rec center' was a popular after school hangout for many Chinatown youths in the '70's, '80's, and '90's. In recent years, it's become a popular stop for neighborhood locals who live or work in the area, especially cable car workers who are based across the street in their hub. Besides, tourists who used to visit the museum would stop in. With tables both inside and on the sidewalk, residents would meet up with their fur babies and sit at a sidewalk table to have a drink or bring their tablet, newspaper, or favorite reading material and settle at a window table inside. I'd walk by with my friend's fur baby and think about those old times or find some time to stop and grab a cup. Well, a sign was posted recently which means this business will be dark for at least ten more months. Just hoping they will indeed reopen as sadly many businesses in the City like my favorite Asian fusion restaurant on Upper Grant failed to reopen.

Super quirky place in the heart of Nob Hill. It is located right across from the Cable Car Museum so you will see plenty of cable cars go by. The people working here were so nice and actually wanted to talk to the patrons. The Food: Great portions, good prices. Bagels, sandwiches, etc. Drinks: omg the large latte's and coffees here are exactly that. LARGE. I literally have never seen a cup that large before but hey Im not complaining. Will definitely be coming here again.
