The lady that owns the shop is so sweet and her service was amazing! The pineapple buns were still warm and very fresh. There’s also a huge variety of moon cakes to choose from! You can tell she takes pride in her business and everything is made with love.

Bunch of Chinese grandpas and grandmas chill here. The pineapple bun is warm freshly made and crispy on top with pillow soft bread. The grandma also called me 靚女 (leng3 neoi5) and I thought that was so funny (reminds me of hk/china)

I was expecting more based on the social media hype, but this place is mid. The egg tarts were tasteless and not creamy, the pineapple buns lacked flavor, and the pork buns were mostly big chunks of fat instead of meat. Disappointing overall.

It was my first time with this bakery and I love it. They had their pineapple bread/bao for $1 at the time I ordered it. I ordered 2 at first to try it out. They were fresh, warm, and fluffy. One thing to note is that it was different from what I was used, they didn't have the custard filling, but that was ok. The bao was still delicious and I consumed both of them. I liked it so much that after my girlfriend was done shopping we went back to check it out and got their lemon roll cake (I don't know the proper name), their Char Siu Bao, and their pineapple bao. Altogether it came out to about $5. I devoured their Char Siu bao and my girlfriend loved the pineapple bread and the lemon roll cake.
Definitely give their bread a try, they have been around for a long time. Their bread may be best paired with a drink like coffee or tea.

Egg tarts are good. Nice local vibes. I personally will not order milk tea again becoz it’s not the hong kong milk i imagined, there’s only a tea bag for it🥲. The buns are great tho

We got egg tart, it chinese style which has thin crust and light sweet. They have a lot of chinese baked products there. I would like to try more. The atmosphere was quite old and unique. We got really good service from auntie, she was so nice and kind. I used cash to pay but I dont know if they receive card or not. They have some tables to sit down inside too.

Pineapple buns were amazing, great price too ($1 each). Egg tarts were alright ($2 each), surprisingly more expensive than the pineapple buns.

BEST pineapple bun hands down in the universe! And I'm Asian! Served warm and fresh from their oven, this bun is out of this world. Go pass the friendly old guys who are there all day, and a super nice lady behind the counter will give you the best .. did I mention BEST...pineapple bun!!
Also tried the other hot buns which were REALLY good, but the Pineapple bun is king!
Came here because Golden Gate Bakery was closed.
The egg tart is definitely not as good. The crust is kinda boring and the custard is average.
Bbq pork bun tasted kinda funny like fermented pork.
Wouldn’t really recommend this bakery although the service was nice.
Garden Bakery - cute little dumpling shop specializing in all the delicious plates of dim sum we love. So many older men/grandpa's in here enjoying their morning coffee/tea and morning baked goods. We felt this was pretty authentic !!!!
Tried a few items as I walked through Chinatown in downtown San Francisco. Easy to point at the food, order, pay, leave.
This is an old school bakery being around for decades, the buns are good enough for what we paid. Liked the pineapple buns, char siu bao.
