I ordered to go maybe the steak cooked in the box more but it wasnt cooked correctly and was tough probably should have expected from a cheaper steak.

Miss this place dearly! Used to live right around the corner from there. NY Strip with baked potatoe and salad was on point. I still remember when that meal was $5.99.

No frills neighborhood diner that serves a steak meal at the best price you can find! It took a while for us to order, and it’s not tableside service whatsoever, but for ~$25 you get a steak, baked potato, huge plate of salad, and garlic bread. I had their club steak which is a fattier cut compared to the other offerings and asked for it to be medium rare, it ended up being more medium but still good and the fat was charred nicely. My favorite part of the meal was surprisingly the salad which has a ton of ingredients including beets and reminded me a bit of the HOPR salads! Feels like a diner, has other items on the menu too. Definitely a neighborhood gem, would come back again :)

Still just as delicious as it was 15 to 20 years ago. Favorite neighborhood spot over the years and a staple for the community. Love that it’s kept the same charm. Great service, great New York stake and chocolate cake. Unbeatable prices and just a great family spot for our us over the years.

Dirty place, horrible service. The waitress charges customers and then use the same hands without gloves to prepare salads. Chicken is pre-cooked, not fresh. Everything about this place made me lose my appetite. Rats, roaches...who knows!!!
Interesting place. It is a typical neighborhood greasy spoon with Formica and vinyl booths serving excellent meats at good prices. My steak was very good and properly grilled. The salad was OK but lacking anything special and the dressing choice was ranch or thousand island. They put WAY too much dressing on it, so I suggest that you ask for dressing on the side. The baked potato was done right and then smothered in too much butter. I didn't ask for sour cream, but they probably had it. They offered jalapenos for everything. The toasted bread was surprisingly good. I sopped mine in the excess butter. Overall a good meal at a fair price in a clean place.
I would give them higher marks if it wasn't for the salad.
The feeling of the place isn't that inviting either, it could use an upgrade, remodel and renewal. Table service would be nice instead of the cafeteria style they use.
Their English wasn't great,
but they really aimed to please.
Nice, hard working guys.
Note that parking in the neighborhood
is problematic at best.

Ordered a club steak that was cooked perfectly medium rare and perfectly seasoned. Service is ok. The price point for the food is definitely a lot lower than most steak places. A hidden jewel in San Francisco.

A very good experience. The restaurant is a very nostalgic restaurant. The steak was not overcooked and the baked potatoes were very soft and cooked. The portion size and price are definitely great value.

T-bone Steak was tougher than Michelin Tire. Wasted $50+ for 2. Informed them of how tough the Steak was. Reponse was, "Okay, I'll let my boss know" The End!

They should put the hours right, they are at 8:11 and they are already closed and on the website it says 8:30
My new favorite place. Large sit-down dinners for only $14 to $23! Included with the meat entrée is a substantial side salad of deep green romaine lettuce with lots of veggies piled on top, bread done on the grill and baked potato OR golden buttery rice.
My meat has been properly cooked every time. Good service. I like the way the restaurant operates. Only teeny complaint is that I wish blue cheese dressing was an option.
This place is super well-connected for taking the bus.
