Global Gourmet Catering

We had the pleasure of working with Global Gourmet for our wedding reception on 11/02 and it was a fantastic experience!
Not only was the process of working with them easy and seamless (the tasting was a party in itself!) but the actual event blew us away. Every detail was thought out and the food and drinks was exactly what we had wanted.
5 days later and we still have people talking about the food and drinks-shout out to the bar program & the crispy Korean chicken bites!
Our vision was easy but delicious food served in a station style buffet with good drinks and an overall party vide. We got just that-massive MASSIVE thanks to the global team if I had to do it all over again I would 100% pick you, no questions asked.

Absolutely the worst dining experience for the price point ever within the San Francisco Opera House North Box Cafe.

The menu was limited to “bowls” and a few other measly dishes. I had the bowl with the prawns which was atrocious. Served in cheap plastic and the prawns had a fishy smell. They didn’t taste normal so I decided not to finish eating them for fear of getting sick. My partner had the bowl with chicken which was also subpar. This was followed by a pathetic cheese plate and later chocolate covered strawberries. Mind you that we ordered the chocolate torte but they ran out and our server (bless her heart) substituted the strawberries (for $16.00/4 strawberries!).

Fortunately we brought our own wine and paid a $40.00 corkage fee per bottle. The wine list is limited and doesn’t really have any thing decent.

Although our service was great the poor quality of the food ruined the evening. Never again, will definitely eat either before or after the performance at another restaurant NOT within the Opera House.

So so food. Staff were not all that helpful. Mangers were. Our person served our food cold, tasty but cold rainy SF night cold on a pier.Cold, grease clumped "Sundae's" were just not meant for consumption done wrong.Others got the food warm. Our area was crowded and the buffets replenished many times, but for many, cold. Like it sat outside for a very long time.Most chefs never let an off product leave the pass.What happened?

GGC recently catered two events for me. One with 150 guests and one with 410 guests. Both events were perfect! Everyone was blown away by the food and left full and happy. Leading up to the event, the staff was super quick to respond, very accommodating and a delight to work with. I will be using them again in the future for sure. Shout out to Kelly and Amanda for all their support!

We often work with many different caterers, restaurants, and kitchens, so calling GGC our favorite is nothing to take lightly!I would note that one caveat with GGC is that their main SF catering office only works with preferred planners. Despite having multiple events working with GGC at Mountain Winery, I have often been turned away from the main catering office.We work with GGC every time we're at Mountain Winery. Their food is not only delicious, but so is their entire service from booking to execution. Each and every one of our clients have been nothing short of impressed. GGC provides premium customer-service and assistance in designing the event and giving helpful suggestions for clients when they are deciding food. Everyone at the GGC team at Mountain Winery is amazing! [Sending a HUGE shout out to Kelly, Tiffany, and Amanda.]As a wedding planner, one of the most important parts of the day is service. With GGC, their banquet staff has every I dotted and every T crossed. Their staff never fails to impress as they are rehearsed in their service and always continuously anticipate client and guest needs.With Global Gourmet, you're not only getting top-of-the-line banquet food, but also premium customer service and a highly dedicated service staff!

The absolute best of the best! I work in corporate events ranging in various attendee sizes and days, and every time I am in the Bay Area I try to bring the Global team onboard. Their creative detail is amazing, the food is beyond delicious, their focus on logistics is unmatched, the ability to make something happen out of nowhere and save the day is unreal, and their servers, chefs, and staff are the kindest people ever. I’m already looking forward to my next tasting and event!

I had a wonderful experience working with Global Gourmet. Kelly was so great with providing suggestions and partnering with me and the sales staff at Mountain Winery to ensure my large event at the venue was successful. My personal favorite and the group favorite was the wine country sundae. This delicious dish that consists of fluffy mashed potatoes with tender tri-tip on top. So heavenly!!

The best in the catering business in the Bay Area! I hired Kelly and the Global Gourmet team to cater an open house for a property we are listing, and the food and service exceeded our expectations! Their team took the time to learn what was most important to us in the event, and the food was amazing. 10/10 for Global Gourmet!

We just worked with Global Gourmet for our wedding and they are amazing! We had a number of different requests and needs around food they were able to make everything happen and day of went seamlessly, our wedding guests raved about how great all the food was!

Do not do business with Alicia Slater. She has no integrity and will cheat you, if given the chance!
