Go Duck Yourself 去你鸭的 is a neighborhood favorite and a restaurant that has lived up to influencer hype. It is a smaller restaurant that gets busy quickly, so getting a reservation is recommended; it is not the best for big groups. The team and staff are described as the best, being attentive, really kind, and providing incredible service.
The food is consistently excellent, flavorful, well-executed, and incredibly tasty. The duck is the standout, with the best roast duck being juicy with crispy skin, unctuously fatty, and rivaling classic Peking duck. Popular dishes include duck noodles, roast duck, bao, greens, and rice, as well as the chow mein with duck and the sticky rice. For an extra fee, the duck can be deboned. The BBQ pork, specifically the two style of pork and the BBQ pork dipped in a honey bath, is a real favorite for many, served with rice and greens. The crispy pork belly received mixed feedback, noted as a little overcooked and tough. The dipping sauces, including an almost hainan chicken style one, are well-liked.
The restaurant has a hipster ambiance. While priced decently, it is also considered expensive, with a whole duck costing almost the same as a Peking duck. The quality, however, is there, making it a definite comeback spot worth the visit.
