The egg tarts are truly worth the hype. Custard had just the right amount of chew and the tart crust was flaky yet sturdy. They’re made to order so they’re best if eaten immediately. And the grandma was so kind and sweet!

My only gripe was older locals cutting to the front of the line. But it is what it is.
I haven’t tried the famous egg tart from the legendary Golden Gate Bakery, even after marrying my roommate, who grew up in the Bay Area for more than 8 years. The custard tart from Golden Gate Bakery is $3.75, which is a little pricey, and it's not my type, so we won't revisit again.
Cash Only and the ladies are friendly...said to call them to checked .

Here goes.......Finally!!! After multiple times getting here and it being closed...last week,NO lines before 5pm...I would say...a solid 8.5 out of 10. Maybe if it came straight out of the oven..I would give it a 9...why not a 10?? Because I don't feel that I have eaten enough egg tart to be an expert ...that being said..I liked King Pineapple Egg Tart slightly better in over all ...though...
