Great lunch spot if you work in the financial district. It's everything you'd expect from an Asian mom and pop shop. Quick, delicious, decently priced food. Even during the lunch rush you're able to be seated and served quickly as long as you don't mind sitting with other single diners.
To those complaining about the service, it's clearly not a fine dining restaurant, so y'all should keep your expectations down and you'll be good.
Really solid place that I definitely recommend. Affordably priced, very good portion sizes, and great taste!
My fav restaurant in Chinatown!
The food is good but the tip is not clear
My family went there around noon. The restaurant was so busy, but the food was served fast and hot. My dad didn’t like the roti chicken much but the pho is very good. Everything is excellent!
This place is a gem and deserves a visit for anyone hankering for Vietnamese fare. Delicious and proper imperial rolls with blistered rice wrapping. Actual charring on the grilled pork on the bun thit nuong topped with fried egg.
Great local spot for Vietnamese food! The pho broth is rich and flavorful, and the imperial rolls are very crunchy and has tasty filling, even if had without the fish sauce.
Not much to say. The food is really good, and the quality of meat is desirable. Good job Golden Star staff.
I love beef pho even I’m huge fan of chicken pho. Their soup is so tasty ! I would like to try different items next time I go
Top notch authentic pho . Tendon, braised beef all simmered till gelatinous and melt in mouth. Punchy and flavourful broth. Garnished generously with fresh basil and aromatics. A perfect bowl of pho, put together with Vietnamese pride. Super love it!

This place came highly reviewed online but was a miss for me. It’s not a clean place and the food is just mediocre. I made the mistake of taking my family from out of town here and they didn’t like the taste. Could easily make better food at home with minimal effort.
great food but they forced me to tip which was odd
Food might be good but customer service is horrible. Food took so long to arrive, barely any service, yet you guys still have the nerve to demand a $5 tip
I stopped by this place based on the food reviews. As I walked in, I was greeted by a kind older lady. The gentleman who took my order was mean and insensitive. Located in a not-so-desirable area, one would think restaurant owners would show some kindness when customers enter their place. I got quite the opposite. The imperial roll was good, however the grilled chicken vermicelli was on the dry side.
Good quick fresh.
Perfect lunch time spot
Three lunch bowls & one app for $60 is great in SF
