Stopped by for a quick bite as part of our drive North to Healdsburg. There was a line at the door but it went quickly. I actually had to decide what I wanted to order on the fly because I got to the front of the line too quickly. We ordered shrimp dumplings, shrimp and chive dumplings, sui mai, turnip cake, and dried shrimp rice noodles. I would get the dumplings and sui mah again. I was mixed in the turnip cake. The dried shrimp rice noodles were ok....the spread of onion and dried shrimp was a little uneven, so there were bites that were just rice noodle. It was also a bit too dense for me. Very reasonable pricing though. We got a box full of food for $19.90. Cash only. There are a few tables inside where you can sit down to eat after ordering your food at the counter. There's also a bathroom available.

Definitely skip the Chinese tamales (粽子). After I unwrapped one, it looked like an apprentice's first try: mung bean mixed with the sweet rice (should have been separate layers), five spice flavored pork belly was substituted with lean bbq pork, sausage, and dried shrimp. ? Did someone use the lotus leaf wrapped rice's (糯米鸡) filling here instead? The sweet rice was soggy like it was boiled for too long. This place is more of a take out joint than a sit down place in the Chinese Chinatown (vs. the touristy version near the Financial District). You are more likely to stand in line with the locals. Unless you grew up in Canton, the quality of dim sum is good enough for sampling a novel cuisine on the go.Vegetarian options: Not many.

Some options are pretty heavy. Slightly more expensive and less good than other options in the city for the same thing.

best dim sum i ever had…i was only in town for a few days but i wish i lived here. in an ideal world i would have a personal assistant pick up some of the deep fried balls, pork delicacies, and whatever else they got to my beautiful home in nob hill. unfortunately, i’m a san diegan where you cannot find dim sum as tasty or inexpensive…crying but hopeful that one day i may taste this again. until next time… xiexie

Line was long, inside tight, food affordable and kind of better than what we’ve tried so far in SF.Would come back, possibly but also want to find a place that has dim sum carts and more options than just dumplings.PS the egg custard was moldy.

I don’t as here early Saturday morning and the long lines I heard about haven’t started yet. My pork sui mai was acceptable, nothing to write home about. The beef sui mai tasted a little artificial, doesn’t taste like beef? The dim sum is reasonable here, but not really that fresh or good?It is nice they have few ingredients bales in the back so you eat it there if you want. Also the bathroom is a bonus.

Alert! They’re now closed Mondays and tuesdays. My usual day was Monday but I’ll have to shift to Wednesdays. That way everything is super fresh! We love this take out place that has evolved over the decades. The staff has become more service focused and I even see non Chinese speakers order $ thousands of dollars worth of take out dimsum. It’s amazing what volume of business these food entrepreneurs crank out. We’re always impressed with the quality of the steamed dumplings, the tea leaf wrapped chicken and rice, many of the sweet items and the steamed pork buns. Their rice soup or Jook also is so soothing — it usually has a line but they’re pretty no nonsense and move the line. First thing to do is grab a pink menu and pencil on the counter then wait in line while you make your choices. Then you’ll be ready!

Got to say this place is worth the hype. Came here on Sunday when it was raining so the line was short. This place is definitely on the pricier side of dimsum but it's sooo good. We got siu mai, har gow, ham sui gok, char siu bao, and gao chai gao. It was all so flavorful and reminded me of SoCal dimsum. Small place with a few tables in the back for sit down. It also gave off such a comforting vibe. My friend knew one of the workers and had asked one of the ladies if he was there. The lady shouted from the front of the store through the dining area to the kitchen to let him know we were looking for him. My fellow Asians will understand the authenticity lol Highly recommend this place

I've had this place bookmarked forever and am so happy I was finally able to try it!I asked what non-shrimp offerings they had, the woman who helped us kept offering us more items and who am I to say no... We ended up getting the chicken siu mai, crystal dumpling, potsticker, steamed pork dumpling, and chicken bun all for a little over $20. They have pretty ample seating inside and each table comes with a bottle of soy sauce and chili sauce. The highlights for me were definitely the potstickers and crystal dumpling. The service was pleasant and bathrooms were clean. Looking forward to coming back!
