Not sure why this place has such a low rating. The service is quick, staff are nice, and food is great! I got the super chicken burrito (add grilled veggies) and a chips and salsa. The burrito is gigantic and very flavorful, the chunks of salty grilled chicken is balanced out well by the limey acidic salsa and the freshness of the guac. The chips and salsa are also an incredible deal! Great place with great food.

Awful service. I was the only customer and the guy who I was giving my order to wasn't listening, he turned his back and I kept trying to repeat what I wanted. I just asked for a chicken burrito with refried beans, sour cream, and cheese. I got chicken in a wrap, none of the things I asked for or rice. Absolute waste of money

What a giant disappointment. I've been going to Gordo for decades but hadn't been for a couple years. How far this great has fallen. It's embarrassing for a San Francisco institution like this to be serving up such mediocrity. I ordered my burrito and got a shriveled up, tiny, loosely packed thing you could barely call a burrito. If it had tasted great, I could excuse the paltry size (despite purchasing the 'super' version) and horrible wrapping job, but alas, it tasted as bad as it looked. Their ingredients have become bland and despite ordering their Super version, it left me wanting in both the hunger department and the flavor department after limping my way through my meal. I'm done with Gordo, there are too many great burrito places in this city to go eat at this one that is just resting on its laurels...

Carnitas Carnitas. Super Super Burrito with sour cream and guacamole. I've been coming here for over 20 years. All locations serve the same food and they all taste consistently the same. Never go wrong.

Stopped by this taqueria to satisfy my burrito craving! It's a cute place in Sunset, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I ordered the super burrito with guac inside and also got a side of chips and guac. The super burrito was alright. It wasn't the best there and tasted a bit bland. The steak had some flavor, but it felt like it was lacking something. The chips and guac were not that good. They were very wet and lacked a lot of flavor. I felt there was too much tomato in it as well. I was a bit disappointed. The chips were also stale. they must have been sitting out for a really long time. Overall, this place was just okay.

They try to trick you with the pricing. What’s the point in having a super burrito but then charging extra for guac and sour cream… it’s a rip off. Especially since the person making the super burrito asks if you want guac and sour cream but doesn’t clarify it’s extra. They need a sign telling people guac and sour cream are extra for the super burrito but of course they won’t do that because they are trying to scam.Besides that the burrito itself is honestly mid and not particularly impressive.This place is overhyped, just go to El Farolito. The super burrito there is like $9 with EVERYTHING (including guac and sour cream) instead of $12 + $3 for guac and sour cream so $15 super burrito at Gordos that doesn’t even taste that great.
