6 of us. 3 generations. We ordered almost everything on the menu. 1 guest was Vegan and they were able to accommodate him with each dish. My favorite was the fried cauliflower! I would like another order right now! We shall see if they do door dash or some such service. We went at 5:30 and were able to get a window table. We had a nice bottle of red wine but cannot recall the name.
Everything is lovely there servers the food, the view, the ambience, the quietness grateful
We love Green's for it's food and views. Always a treat. But too expensive to go frequently. :-(
Food just wasn't good. I had the butternut squash pizza and it was like cardboard. I didn't finish it and it was small and I was hungry. I also had the brussel sprout salad, which, I'll admit, was pretty good. I forget what my daughter had but she the first words out of her mouth when we got into the car were all about how bad her entree was. It was all very expensive too. The bill was over $100/person with a not a ton of alcohol (five drinks across seven people). We were seated in the far room and the acoustics were brutal. In sum: bad food in a loud room all at a high high price.
Pricey restaurant. Food tasted great though. Our server was terrible. Did not speak a word to us to check on if everything was ok or if we needed anything. Left a bad taste in the mouth at the end of the evening because of this. We were celebrating our special anniversary and had made a note of this while making the reservation. The restaurant did not make an effort to make this as a special experience for us.
Most things on their menu can be made vegan, food is really good.
This is the second time we have eaten at Greens and it was once again delicious. I am vegetarian so this restaurant is a real treat. Everything on the menu looks so good it's difficult to choose. My husband and I shared the roasted Brussels sprouts with muhammara sauce and the spiced fingerling potatoes (spicy aloo) to start. I had the coconut risotto for my main. It was all absolutely delicious. If we lived in San Francisco I would eat here regularly. Greens deserves its reputation for delicious vegetarian/vegan food in a lovely location.
Ambiance is still really nice, and servers are nice, but the quality of the food itself has really gone downhill over the years. Not sure if the chef has changed or if the sourcing of the ingredients has changed. Salads here used to be spectacular, now it's something I could make myself with grocery store vegetables. Same with the dishes, and the menu selection is not appetizing.
Sunday brunch menu was quite compelling, but execution and service were a bit disappointing. I've eaten here many, many times. In fact, I used to work here way back when dinosaurs roamed. Banh mi sandwich had good flavor but was the roll and filling were both very dry; possibly missing the promised aioli. I'd have asked for the latter but our server never returned to check in and she was too busy to flag down. Friend's wild mushroom grilled cheese needed salt; again, we weren't able to flag anyone down to ask. Dal was very tasty; we'd asked to have it brought with pita before other dishes arrived, yet it all came at the same time. Chili was tasty; some beans a bit on the hard/underdone side. Cheddar biscuits "divine." Pita was dry and would have been much nicer if it had been served warm as the server said it would be. I must say, those were the best potato chips I've ever had in a restaurant--uniformly crispy and well seasoned.
Had a nice lunch with my daughter before the Renegade Craft and we haven't been there in a while. Got seated right away in the middle table. We ordered our shaved Brussels salad and tofu spring rolls. Both were really delicious and nicely presented. Waitress was attentive and friendly.

A special event put on by Greens on a Saturday night. Absolutely horrible experience in every way.
Greens offers a world class view and delicious vegetarian food in the inside dining room. Do not eat in the outside parklette (added during the Pandemic) if you want the best experience.
This converted warehouse in the Fort Mason complex makes for a modern, capacious dining room replete with sculpted wood tables and art. Our waiter was a true professional; my wife had a tempeh coconut curry that was fantastic but my pizza was mediocre with a soggy crust, an anomaly in an otherwise fine restaurant deserving of its excellent reputation.
