My girlfriend and I ate at Guardinos for or first time today, Sunday, Jun 22, and the food was out of this world, The service was super and generous, and the atmosphere was perfect. Guardinos is definitely the best on the block. We will be going back. Our servers name was Justin. If you are in the San Francisco Area, definitely try Guardinos!

Best price on the block, and great service and amazing food! What more can you ask for! I wish I got the name of the cashier but he is so friendly and caring than most we encounter while choosing where to eat
Thank you!

Maybe expecting too much for a waterside food stand but I love my roll toasted!! Portion was generous though, and with the lemon squeeze it was yummy. Not the worst crab roll I’ve had, not the best. Bun was verrrry fresh!

Guardino’s at Fisherman’s Wharf – A Classic Bite with a View

Guardino’s is one of those spots at Fisherman’s Wharf that reminds you why San Francisco remains a haven for casual, flavorful seafood. Nestled among the hum of street performers and bay breezes, this food stand delivers a satisfying punch of flavor and tradition—perfect for locals and tourists alike looking for an authentic Wharf experience.

Let’s talk about the clam chowder bread bowl: rich, creamy, and comforting. The chowder boasts just the right balance of seasoning and velvety texture, served in a warm, crusty sourdough bowl that holds up beautifully until the last spoonful. It’s filling, delicious, and—perhaps most impressive—very reasonably priced for the area.

The Rock Crab & Shrimp Cocktail is where Guardino’s truly shines for me. It’s a personal favorite: chilled, flavorful, and served in generous portions that hit the spot after a long walk along the pier. It’s refreshingly light yet satisfying—perfect for a mid-afternoon break.

A pro tip for first-timers: try to snag a seat close to the serving station. While the open-air charm of the Wharf is part of the appeal, the local seagulls are enthusiastic diners themselves. Sitting near the action helps minimize interruptions from these aggressive feathered foodies.

Customer service earns a solid A—the staff keeps things moving with high energy and a no-fuss approach. It’s not white-glove treatment, but it’s friendly, efficient, and adds to the overall vibrancy of the experience.

Guardino’s is a must-visit if you’re craving classic seafood with no pretense, great flavor, and unbeatable Wharf atmosphere. A true San Francisco staple.

The food. The service and the atmosphere is amazing here. The staff are the friendliest!! The dining space here is a huge help for families with Kids. You know a business is doing it right when they have been open since 1908. I would definitely come back here

Crab cocktail seemed a reasonable price, didn't taste that fresh more like had been made the night before and potted up as it was suspiciously quick to come out. Also a bit underseasoned, which is fine but no salt and pepper was provided for my take away order. Would give 3.5 if i could but as i only had one item you get the benefit of the doubt.
