I go here every time I visit SF since 2016 and get the braised duck with wide egg noodles, soup on the side. Each time it’s a perfect experience. One of my top favorite meals in the world.

I found a new secret spot. The food was absolutely delicious and it came pretty quickly and I didn’t break the bank for lunch.

Amazing noodles selections which are the fusion of Viennese and Chinese comfort food, in my opinion. The house special noodle (dry or with broth) is the bomb ??You should give this place A try if you haven't! ??

This place is one of the best noodle place in San Francisco. I usually order #7 thin or thick with separate soup. The hot soya milk is very good. The service is fast and the owner is very friendly. I eat here for almost 15 years.Parking: Very hard to find a parking.

Hai Ky Mi Gia is a hidden gem in the Tenderloin district that serves authentic and delicious Chinese and Vietnamese noodles. The restaurant is small and cozy, with friendly staff and fast service. The menu offers a variety of noodle soups, dry noodles, and rice dishes, as well as some appetizers and beverages.I ordered the braised duck leg noodle soup with thick egg noodles, which was a generous portion of tender and flavorful duck meat, fresh vegetables, and chewy noodles in a rich and savory broth. The soup was hearty and satisfying, perfect for a cold day. The noodles were cooked just right, not too soft or too hard. The duck leg was easy to peel off the bone, and the skin was crispy and tasty. The broth had a nice balance of saltiness, sweetness, and spiciness, and I enjoyed adding some vinegar and chili sauce for extra kick. The station also had some condiments, such as soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha sauce, that you can use to customize your dish. The price was very reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the food. The restaurant accepts cash and credit cards, and there is a tip jar at the counter.Overall, I had a great experience at Hai Ky Mi Gia, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves noodles and duck. It is one of the best places to eat in San Francisco, especially if you are looking for authentic and affordable Asian cuisine. The restaurant is located at 707 Ellis St, San Francisco.

Great food that was served quickly. The meat of the braised duck leg was flavourful and fell off the bone. The soup was soothing on a cold winter morning. Only drawback was the neighbourhood it was in. Recommended to drive there.

Fabulous food, the braised duck leg egg noodles soup was delicious. My husband who’s generally not a soup lover told me he could have eaten at this place once a week :). If you’re a tourist keep in mind that this place is not in a nice neighborhood, be aware of the surroundings.

I can't believe that I haven't done a review for Hai Ky. I come here at least once a week, usually on Sundays because of free parking. Always get these 3 dishes: Duck wonton with thick noodles (soup on the side) and the House Special with wonton, with thick noodles (soup on the side), and the fish cakes. The dry noodle version is with a sauce. Get the noodles, mix it up and enjoy. There's nothing like this in the Bay Area and reminds me of HK food. The fishcakes are made inhouse and freshly fried. So delicious and comforting. The staff is awesome too! I come in or call and they know my name and what I want. It's the level of service is so rare in restaurants these days.

What can you say about this place? Except I'm very happy to see them still open and thriving especially after seeing multiple other neighborhood staples/icons close in last few years...most recently turtle tower. Parking still sucks ! And it's still pretty sketchy but who cares ! Bottom line your coming here for #2 , or braised duck leg , plus a fresh hot soy milk!
