Terribly bland burger. The fries weren’t much better and you could taste the frying oil more than anything else. For $16, it’s inexcusable.

After trying this place via Doordash, I thought it really deserves a spot in the burger world's hall of fame. The food was so good that I got busy eating and forgot to take pictures. The burger was big and filling, with patties cooked to perfection. It was awesome that I could have more than one kind of cheese in the burger. Everything was exactly as I ordered.I love how the fries came in big and thick pieces--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, potato in every bite. Couldn't be better! And the Beer Battered Onion Rings, they were delicious even without any dipping--one of the best I have eaten. If there is any room for improvement, maybe just a little more flavor in the house sauce. I highly recommend Hall of Flame Burgers.

One of the best burgers I've had in SF. They've been pretty consistent. My kids love this place

Great food done right with nice staff at a fair price. The food really was good. I had the chili dog and the family had the burgers. They were grilled in front of us and served in a decent amount of time. The dog was also loaded. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even put one of the playoff games on for a patron walked in! The place is small but plenty of seating for couples or single people. Only a couple tables where you could all sit a group of four or more together. The prices were fair I think. It's California what's not expensive here. But I think for all that you get it's fair. For a meal with fries and a drink of three it was around 50 including tax. Definitely worthy of a regular stop of your live in the area. And if visiting and you want a burger try this local shop over a chain restaurant.

This place has some tasty burgers and chicken sandwiches. The fries are ok. They definitely need to slow down the digital menus on the wall ?

it was a big burger 1/2 lbs but i don't think the meat was fresh ground and my fries were burnt and too hard but the presentation was nice and the ingredients was fresh and the bathroom was clean.

Man, it's unfortunate that I have to type this review, but my last order triggered me to do so. I'm a long time customer of this place. I been going here since they opened. Shakes were on point, burgers were juicy and the chili cheese fries were doused in beans & chili. The atmosphere of this place made you feel welcome with all the creativity in decorations along the walls and multiple TV screens with different games. Since the management change, my orders have been either incorrect or an item was not added, cooked wrong, and my shake or chili cheese fries were incorrectly made. They make their chili sweeter and don't douse them like they used to. What happened to the strawberry Oreo shakes? There's just graffiti'd murals all over now and the TVs will usually show the same game when I'm in. I know change happens for a reason and I was open to it. I just miss the vibe of this place. Also, I order medium well all the time...this is the burger I get. Does that look like medium well to you??? Sheesh.

A bit pricey but worth the cost if you're not too budget-pinched. Quality burgers and sandwiches and very nice staff. Great stop if you happen to be in the area.

Burgers are just okay. Used to be really good, but ownership changed a while back and the quality went way down.

The redesign of the menu boards makes it harder to figure out what each burger has in it unless you're a regular customer. Tasty burgers tho.

The humdinger used to be huge. Now like a lot of other restaurants, the portion size has gone down while the prices go up. They are also getting skimpy on the fries. Used to order a lot from them when I worked on that side of town. Never ate there, I always took it to go.

Went in around 1pm and was pleased with my experience. Service was fast and the ambiance was casual and pleasant. I ordered the Alley Oop burger (lettuce wrapped) with bacon, avocado, tomato, red onion, cheese and added jalapeños with a side salad. The burger itself was super big and filling and definitely hit the spot for me and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed their house salad with balsamic vinaigrette! It rounded to $20 which is a little pricey for a burger but overall I have no complaints and I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. I would definitely come here again and even prefer it over some of the more mainstream restaurants like Shake Shack.

Ordered a Humdinger with fries and a side of onion rings. The burger was pretty big and juicy but I don't think there's anything special about the flavor of the burger itself, especially since I didn't notice any use of condiments or sauces. The fries were kind of bland and on the soft side, I think they would have been better if they were crispier. The onion rings were good, I loved the crispy batter.

Really wanted to enjoy this place however it was merely okay. The burger was cooked medium-well with just a slight amount of pink, exactly how I like it which is a plus. It was a fresh thick hand made patty and the quality of the meat was on the better side. Not sure what is was but the burger itself was rather bland, it didn’t seem to be seasoned which was disappointing.I kept wanting to enjoy it because of the seemingly quality meat and it was cooked to my liking, but I could not get over how bland the burger was.I don’t know if I would try it again because the price here is very steep for what you get and it wasn’t flavorful enough to warrant a second visit. Perhaps they were having an off day or simply forgot to season the meat, but it left a bit so great impression. The fries were also just ‘okay’, nothing to write home about but not offensive; your average fries. Which again for the price that you pay the meal didn’t seem worth it.
