Super good diner experience in the city! Great countertop and small booths vibes, super friendly service and tasty food. I got the Irish breakfast, it was my first time trying Irish bacon and sausage, and it was super tasty. Funnily enough, it seemed like more people were getting breakfast than hamburgers here.

Friendly place frequented by locals. Weekday breakfast deal is two eggs, two pancakes and two sausage or bacon for $11.99. 3 stars.

I just ate here for the first time since its post-covid reopening. My hamburger was sizable, done to perfection and accompanied by crisp lettuce and a thick slice of Bermuda onion. The fries were good as well. The only drawback to the meal was the can of Coke instead of a fountain serve, but that's not enough to knock off a star. Overall, it's still the best burger in the Richmond. Another reviewer laments the loss of its 1940s diner vibe. I have no idea what that person is referring to. I've been coming here since the early 70s and I can assure you that the decor has not substantially changed since that time - wood paneling, micro red and orange wall tiles, counter stools as well as booths along the window, and even the clunky mechanical cash register near the door. It's damn near a time capsule of that period. I'd also take issue with Yelp's description of the place. This is not a "retro 70s" diner. I can assure you it's looked like this since, well, the 70s.

This place is super cute and the food is really good! First impressions were that the place is a bit small but I loved the service and food. Personally I got the California burger and it was delicious. They had Spanish and English speaking workers. The wait time is really short since there's not many people at all times. Definitely recommend!!Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian options!!! A good selection of them.Parking: You have to pay for parking but it's across the street.Kid-friendliness: The workers were nice with my family and me.Wheelchair accessibility: The way into the place is a ramp, no stairs

Haven't been here in while food was very average and very small portions for a $17 breakfast but was good to try for one last time!

I remember this little jewel in the middle of San Francisco before Covid hit. Then we heard it closed. Hoping against hope that Hamburger Haven would rise again we waited. Traveling 75 miles to just sit in the once charming eatery was beyond the once anticipation of "once upon a time" with the margin of delight at reclaiming the past. Of course, we came when it was pouring rain. Running into the shop and looking down the once familiar foyer idea of two seats placements seem such a wonderful memory. The long awaited old fashioned seats and tables are gone. It's been upgraded a bit just a bitm It no longer boost the era of the late 40s. It's just a place to eat. No longer does it hold the charm it once had. The menu seems just the same. Yet, it's a sadden event now. The food is just that. Food. It holds no elegants or loved put into it. It's just a place to eat.

My husband said, "This place isn't called Biscuits and Gravy Haven." Just stick with the burgers. My breakfast of biscuits and gravy was lackluster. I would rank it below my university cafeteria's take. The gravy was completely flavorless and watery, and the biscuits disintegrated underneath it. Loved the atmosphere and staff. Super cozy.
