Wife and I loved the croissants they had for their soft opening, and we were so excited to make this one of our go-to spots for pastries. Then they closed--supposedly, only a temporary thing. We went back in November when they said they would be opening again and thought we were first in line, but turned out they were still "temporarily" closed. We'll think about passing by on their new reopening date of Jan. 1, 2024 but we don't have our hopes up. Honestly will probably just go to the one at Westfield from now on despite his busy it gets

Wow! These tiny cakes are so pretty and so good. I picked up a couple for a family birthday from Zero& at the Great Mall. Unfortunately, it was not ready on the day/time I had scheduled for pick-up. I ended up having to come back the next day to pick up my cakes. That was a little disappointing. I ordered a variety, including mango, taro, lychee, and peach. They were the perfect Asian dessert... not too sweet but very satisfying. They were packaged and decorated perfectly. I ordered 4 cakes for 8 people so we were all able to get a taste of everything.

Did I buy myself a coffee and coconut lunar bun bun cake from Hanabi just because I could? Yes, yes I did. As always, light and fluffy and made with impeccable precision.

Wow these cakes are so goood! You need to pick up at a boba place, but these were much more delicious than I expected. My favorite flavor was the Ube one. All of them weren't too sweet, but were very satisfying. To top it off, they were all decorated and packaged cutely. These are the perfect sized cakes so that you won't feel overwhelmed, but can still serve like 2-4 people depending how much cake you'd like.

I CANNOT STOP BUYING THESE CAKES! I love how they're portable and a good portion to just chow down on. So far my top favorites are mango and peach. Chocolate was probably my least favorite just because the texture isn't as airy, it's pretty dense and sweet compared to the other boxed cakes. They don't have a physical location right now so for me it was Milpitas ZERO&. And you'll also find them in SF's Outset Coffee. I can't wait to order their full size cake for literally any upcoming occasion!

Though the biz listing states they are physically closed, this company is selling selected products on Neon. It started with their drinks, a variety of fruity and intriguing tea flavors that caught my friend's eyes. She ordered several to start and you know what happened next. Yes, she reordered and I joined her.Seeing how my friend enjoyed their drinks, I tested the waters by ordering the Peach oolong Go (yelp.com/user_local_phot…); I liked that there was zero sugar added but I believe that there is some from the peach flavoring. This drink did not make be feel guilty as it was not overly sweet but the drawback is that the fruit flavor wasn't too prominent. My friend gifted me a Coco Mango Jasmine (yelp.com/user_local_phot…) which I enjoyed immensely. The coconut flavor and mango chunks made this a lot more interesting than what I chose. I would order this again. Several weeks later, I decided to try their pastry sections and started with the Croque Monsieur (yelp.com/user_local_phot…); being used to the one at the Guerrero and 18th St. bakery known for this, I was surprised as this reminded me more of a ham and cheese croissant. I guess the difference is that this had a creamy filling. I am fifty-fifty on whether I'd have this again. Finally, I ordered the sesame almond croissant (yelp.com/user_local_phot…). My mind was probably in another place when ordering this as I was pleasantly surprised with this though the almond ingredient is barely noticed. The star is the black sesame paste filling (yelp.com/user_local_phot…), a wet version that didn't make the pastry soggy. The flavors were good but just wished that there was a little more filling.Thank you, Hanabi, for giving me the opportunity to try a good variety of your creations. I will keep my eyes open for other items that tempt me.

Was able to try a few of their cakes including Peach Blossom and Rose Lychee that someone brought in. Didn't know that they got popular because of TikTok.Cakes are pretty and are super photogenic, which is probably why they have gotten attention)Peach Blossom (cream cheese lemon chiffon): cream cheese is less heavy and the peach flavors are subtle, but present.Rose Lychee (rose cream with vanilla chiffon): The cake itself was super moist, but I wished the rose and lychee flavors were stronger.Overall, I think that they can make a nice gift or for a celebration, because they are pretty, but I think the flavors overall were a bit underwhelming.

My friend shared a Tik Tok of this place and told me to try it. For the Bay Area, I don't believe they have any physical stores currently but ordering on enjoyhanabi.com was pretty easy. They seem to have partnered up with a boba shop Zero& which you can pick up from in various locations around the Bay. For me, the location was inside the Great Mall. What I ordered:1.) Peach Blossom Mini Box Cake2.) Rose Lychee Dream Mini Box Cake - Gluten Free[[ Pickup Notes ]]The time for pickup was from 3pm to 6pm for me so I chose the earliest spot at 3pm so I can enjoy it earlier. I got there around 2:30pm and Zero& let me pickup early which is great! I also noticed that Hanabi actually has a display case full of their cakes at the location as well so if you don't want to pre-order beforehand, you can just buy it straight from the store without reservation.[[ Cake Notes ]]- The flavors were really cool and overall the taste was good.- I would say a mini-box is just enough for 1 person to finish. As such, I would recommend 1 Mini Box per person. So why the 3 stars?Overall I think Hanabi products are pretty good quality. The website, service, and the presentation of each of the cakes were all pretty stellar and I would easily give this part 5/5.However, the cake itself I did not find extra special besides the unique flavors of Rose Lychee / Peach. Although it was tasty, it felt pretty basic with just a couple layers of cake with whip cream and the chosen jelly flavoring (see pics attached). I kept waiting for some "Ah-Ha" moment or "Wow" moment but it never came. At one point, I think since the flavors were so similar, both cakes started to taste the same.I'll need to try this again. Looking forward to the physical store re-opening for convenience so I can try other products to see if my tastes will change.

I've had Hanabi Bakery before and to be honest was not a fan of their cakes for the price. I was intrigued when I saw that the same location added croissants and Zero&. Ordering is via kiosk and you get your order fairly fast. I ordered the egg salad croissant, ube almond croissant, croque monsieur croissant, korean garlic bread, and the pumpkin cheesecake croissant (didnt see this on the menu but it was on the kiosk ordering menu, could be a seasonal item). In addition for drinks I ordered the coconut zero.Starting off with the drinks the coconut zero was delicious! Super fresh and you can taste the real coconut chunks in there. A really refreshing drink for a hot day would order again. The croissants came out to be a bit pricey (i'd go to 85 if you were interested in some asian baked goods). The egg salad croissant was probably my favorite but not something you couldn't make at home. The other items were lackluster the korean garlic bread had a sweet cheese center that I didn't like it made the pastry too sweet. The croque monsieur croissant was very meh, i'd opt for a ham and cheese croissant elsewhere.Stick to the drinks if you go to Hanabi!

Been trying these at lunches at work. Ube almond crossiant and litchi rose cake. Both were interesting combination you don’t see often. The crossiant was great and so was the cake but it had a lot of essence. Slightly subtle but original taste would have complimented more. Vegetarian friendly if you’re okay with egg.

Ordered a lunar new year cake courtesy of Zero& at Stoneridge! Really nice that they are working together on this. The lunar cake is strawberry and red velvet and it was really good! I have a sweet tooth so sometimes I tend to like it sweeter but that's just me :)Highly recommend!

I ordered online for pickup at Orange Square, which is great since the actual store is pretty far from me. However, quite a few desserts were sold out, so I would like to see how often they get "stocked" or how available they are if you walk in. We got the Strawberry Velvet Mini Box and Matcha Jasmine Mini Box. Pickup was nice and quick. They provide a small card in the bag explaining how quickly you should eat them and how to store them. There was a small empty section, which they might write something for you if you request it or you can write it yourself. We ate the strawberry velvet right after picking it up, and put the matcha jasmine in the fridge for later. The cakes are a decent size, about 1.5 the size of a normal cake slice. The velvet cake was nice and soft, and the cream was very light and not too sweet, like whipped cream. I didn't really taste the cream cheese flavor, but I could taste the subtle strawberry from the strawberry cream and noticed the thin layer of strawberry jam. It was a nice, fruity, light cake - great for those who prefer less sweet, Asian-style cakes. It didn't really taste like your typical red velvet cake, and more like a strawberry cream cake.We ate the matcha jasmine the day after, and it was still really good even though it was technically after the time they said to eat it by (24 hours). The cream was creamier than the last cake, and the cake was also as light and fluffy. It was a little sweeter than the last one. I think the matcha and jasmine paired so well together, more than I expected, and they really brought out the floral and earthy flavors from each other. I think I liked this one more, though I would probably have more trouble finishing this one, given how creamy and rich it is.My only complaint is that they should make the boxes easier to open - my boyfriend ruined one of them before I could take the picture. However, I would definitely come back and try some more of their cakes and pastries, and I would absolutely recommend their matcha jasmine cake!

Ordered a "Chestnut Château" cake from here for a birthday. The cake was tasty and is suitable for anyone who doesn't like cakes that are way too sweet. (Their website said the store is currently being remodeled and reopen date will be announced soon)

The desserts at Hanabi are decadent and so delicately made. I must warn you, it is pricey and you can get sucked into buying one of everything because all of the flavors are so interesting. My friend ordered a cake for us at work.. I believe it was the Peach Palace. Wow, the layers, the flavor, the design.. the cake wasn't too sweet and it was moist. After trying that cake, I decided to go and check out this place myself. We ordered a couple mini cake boxes when we visited another friend and didn't get a chance to try them, but I bought one for myself (chocolate sea salt Oreo) and it was very flavorful, not too chocolatey either. We tried the Korean garlic bread and ube croissant. We also ordered a milk tea at the Zero& vending machine outside of the storefront. Everything is ordered through an iPad and someone gathers your order behind the pastry display. Looking forward to trying other flavors next time.

The strawberry drink was very refreshing. They used cane sugar which tasted less sweet and didn’t overpower the taste of the strawberries.
