Hang Ah Tea Room Reviews
Great food not expensive !
We were referred to this restaurant by the concierge at the Omni, and it was the best thing we had in SF! The orange chicken was cooked so perfectly, soy noodles delicious, scallion pancake was buttery, kungpao chicken amazing, spring rolls were perfect, Chinese broccoli was the best I've ever had! Super fast service! Best Chinese I've had in my life!
Waitress was very helpful with picking out a good variety of food to try. Very friendly. Great service.

Hang Ah Tea Room is a charming, old-school Chinese restaurant, known as America's oldest dim sum house, having started in 1920. The dim sum and hot and sour soup are delicious, with the combination dim sum B being highly recommended by the staff. Service is attentive and friendly, though it can be slow at times due to limited staff. The ambiance is cozy and reminiscent of its history, with a vintage feel that some customers find adds to the charm. Customers can order using the QR code menu on the table, which includes pictures of the food, making it easier to choose. The popular fried pork pillow dish is a unique offering, and while the menu is concise, the items are of high quality. The tea selection is considered one of the best in the area, and the BBQ pork buns and shu mai have received praise. The restaurant's historic location in Chinatown enhances its appeal, although cleanliness in the restrooms and some areas could be improved. Prices are reasonable, making it a nice stop for anyone exploring the area.
