Excellent Fried Chicken with sides, Catfish (3 piece) Breakfast with Grits, Eggs, choice of bread or english muffin, fruit and more, friendly, gracious and prompt service staff.
weekend brunch time is very crowed. Went there Friday dinner time. It was mellow. Jambalaya is the dish to die for!
Good Southern style fried chicken. Collard greens were excellent.
Oxtail and pork chop family style. The best.
I had a really nice Lunch with my parents. The Cajun shrimp salad I had for lunch was excellent. The service was very friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant was amazing. I highly recommend this place for Lunch. I give them 5 stars ⭐️.
Great neighborhood place. Food is excellent and servers are friendly. I will continue to bring friends and family here.
I love this place, really down to earth, excellent service, fair prices, great food. Good vibes in there. They take good care of you.
Hard Knox in Richmond is a good spot when you want some solid comfort food. Their fried chicken is crispy and juicy every time. The sides like mac & cheese and yams are tasty and hit the spot.
The vibe is simple and laid-back, nothing fancy but really welcoming. Service is friendly and usually pretty quick, which is always a plus.
It’s not the cheapest place around, but the food is consistent and satisfying.
Random stop for lunch. Winner! Spicy chicken sandwich was great. Great sauce. The juicy Lucy was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Christina took great care of us. Would highly recommend this place for lunch. (Brunch menu looks great too!)
Had a great Easter dinner with my family. The service was great and the food was excellent. I will definitely be back.

This is a very nice place in a cool neighborhood on Clement Street. Good southern food, served by helpful and thoughtful staff. The prides are very reasonable and the ambience is great. There were five of us and we enjoyed a very agreeable and affordable Saturday brunch.
We had an excellent family dinner with six adults and a toddler. Food and sides were excellent and in large quantities. One couple split an entree and still left full. We had the ox tail, jambalaya, & pork ribs. Quality was excellent as usual. The service was also excellent. We were served by a lovely young lady. She took our group photo outside on the sidewalk without us having to ask. Such a nice person. We'll be back soon.
We dined on the patio for lunch. The area is enclosed on three sides and the roof. It was quite comfortable and the traffic noise was not intrusive. Service was excellent. Attentive, timely and very friendly. The food, southern-style with a Louisiana touch, was really good. The portions just the right size. The four of us all had multiple different choices so it was a good test of the lunch menu. Everything was very tasty. This is the kind of neighborhood cafe that could easily become a habit. We will definitely return.
Excellent neighborhood spot! Delicious brunch food and service is tops! 🌞the best Of New Orleans in the Bay Area
This place is full of heartwarming flavors of Southern comfort food. Definitely a neighborhood gem. Every bite feels like a warm hug from home. The menu was full of classic favorites and the service team was friendly and attentive. They checked in with us often, perhaps a bit too often however, their dedication was not disappointing. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of kindness and wit, offering a welcoming space for laughter and great conversation. It's the kind of place where delicious food meets delightful company, making our visit a memorable one. The corn muffins are out of this world, adding butter and honey. The fried chicken was crispy, moist and flavorful on the inside. BBQ pull pork sandwich was perfect, tender, tangy and sweet. Side dishes were macaroni & cheese and collard greens, prepared just right. Parking can be a challenge, street and meter parking. They accept reservations through OpenTable.
