The dogs and service were great. A little pricey for a hot dog . Just wish there was a better atmosphere. Definitely a must try

Hayz Dog is a must for locals and tourists alike. Since the Dapper Dog closed in 2019, San Francisco has been without a true gourmet hot dog restaurant. Not only is Hayz Dog more centrally located but “The Dub” was easily one of the best gourmet hot dogs I’ve ever had. Here’s to hoping their late hours and alcohol license help stimulate Hayes Valley and San Francisco’s night life back to its prime!

This is the first hot dog I’ve had since 1984. Seriously. I got “The Dub” and I have to say that it was really good. I might just come back again sooner than forty years.

It’s like $20 for a hot dog. I mean come on.

Ordered via Uber Eats and the order was ready right when I arrived. It’s a small place with a few bar seats. I ordered the Hayz Dog and as you can see from the pic, it was very nicely presented. And that was after picking it up and walking ~10 minutes to my place to sit down and enjoy my meal. It has a good dog to bun to ingredients ratio. The hot dog was very flavorful and it pairs well with the chips. I also ordered the Corny Companion which is like a deconstructed elote. It’s nice to eat it that way as it’s less messy and it’s pretty good but nothing beats an elote on the cob.If I were to go back, I would eat everything then and there to maintain its freshness.

The food was amazing! The service was excellent. I don't have anything bad to say about this place. I go here all the time.
Dude, I go absolutely goblin mode on the elote dog. The food is always insanely good. The vibes are always incredible here, my man Gabriel behind the counter always goes above and beyond. I always try to stop in for a quick bite whenever I have the chance. Definitely worth stopping by.

I love hot dogs and I love restaurants that specialize in different kinds of dogs. Hayz Dog has some amazing options and all sorts of interesting toppings *and* you can get any of them with a vegan wiener! We ordered the Fluky (aka Chicago Dog) and the chili dog. They came out pretty quick and were piping hot, with all sorts of toppings and cheese and bright green relish. Oh man they were delicious and tasty and my only tiny complaint was not enough celery salt on mine (I'll ask for extra next time!) Yes there will be a next time. The food is delicious, prices are great, and service is quick. Outdoor seating is the main seating option with a few tables inside, but it's worth sitting outdoors if the weather is good!

So happy to see a hot dog spot open up in the city! As someone who craves hot dogs from time to time, this is such a great option if you're looking for a fast and casual lunch or a post-night out spot (granted it closes before midnight). I got The Fluky, subbing out the relish for ketchup, and thought it was so solid! The hot dog itself was really nice and juicy and I didn't feel heavy or gross after - I did opt for the greens side instead of the chips which comes with balsamic vinaigrette as the dressing. Would totally come again to try another dog on the menu or honestly, get The Fluky again!
