Great neighborgood place! Refreshing lemon tea, not packed, unique noodles dishes, and we are all so stuffed. They also make their own chili crisp oil sauce and my teenage neice loved it so much they they have the sauces in to go containers so much. Owner was so accommodating for children with food allergies and allowed outside food for the little ones.

Hidden gem...i was so surprised because it was pretty empty when we were there but the food was SO good. I got their szechaun beef brisket noodle soup and the portion size was huge and not too spicy. Highly recommend!!

What a great find.... We happened to be in the area and wanted soup noodles. It was delicious and portions were huge! We started with their chicken wings which were perfect, not overly breaded or fried. The Szechuan flavors of the soup noodles were delicious. We'll definitely come back.

HD Chinese Yunnan Rice Noodles is a go-to spot for comforting bowls of noodles! 🍜 Their tomato beef noodle soup is a standout—rich, flavorful broth, fresh veggies đŸ„ŹđŸ…, and tender, high-quality beef đŸ„© make every bite satisfying. If you're craving authentic Yunnan flavors, this is the place to be! 🌟

The environment looks like typical Chinese restaurants. They did ask us to order fast but the food got served fast too. The noodle is on the salter side but it’s good :)

Yunnan rice noodles and snail noodles as imagined by Lao Guang. . . Snail noodles are particularly detached from reality. . .

We went there for a late lunch and there were a lot of empty tables. We both ordered the Original Beef Crossing Bridge Rice Noodles, Garlic Cucumber, Iced Ribena and Thai Milk Tea. The rice noodles were pretty good, but the broth was okay. These rice noodles offered a lot of small dishes that you could add to yourself. I just put all the small dishes into the rice noodles. The garlic cucumber didn’t taste good. Overall, I would say the rice noodles were good, but the broth and other ingredients were just fine.

Nice change of pace if you want soup noodles. Something lighter than ramen and less salty than pho - their food may come off as bland to some. The only real negative from me is that there's not enough meat or veggies in their orders.

Parking: Parking is fine as long as you go before 1800. Anytime after that and you're competing with residents and other restaurant go-ers.

HD Chinese Yunnan Rice Noodle in San Francisco is a casual, hole-in-the-wall spot that offers a unique and affordable taste of Yunnan cuisine.
The staff is friendly, and the service is impressively fast when it comes to ordering and receiving your food. However, attentiveness could be improved, especially in terms of refilling water and clearing empty plates, even during slower times.

Their portions are decent, and the prices are easy on the wallet. They also boast a beautiful wall painting that adds a touch of charm to the space.

Let's delve into the food! The Thai iced tea is a winner - perfectly milky and sweet with a rich black tea base. For my meal, I tried the Szechuan style beef crossing bridge rice noodle soup. The menu helpfully guides you through the "crossing the bridge" process, instructing you to add the various ingredients one by one to the (not so) hot soup base.

While the dish presentation was fun and interactive, it fell a little short in terms of spice and heat. Despite being labeled "Szechuan style," it wasn't spicy at all. However, the noodles themselves were cooked to perfection - soft and with a satisfying texture.

Overall, HD Rice Noodle offers a delicious and affordable option for those looking to explore Yunnan cuisine. The friendly staff, fast service, and delicious Thai iced tea are definite positives. However, some improvements in attentiveness and a more accurate representation of spice level would elevate the experience. For a solid meal with room for improvement, I'd rate it a 3-star experience.

Good service here. They only have one or two vegetarian/vegan options but the mushroom rice noodle soup was ok although lacking flavor. No tofu included but there were plenty of mushrooms protein wise. Tricky location for parking but if you’re in the area it’s well worth it.
