I went for the Beyond Meat Burger, and here’s where I confess: I forgot to add cheese. A rookie mistake, and one I won’t be making again. The burger itself was flavorful, though I couldn’t help but notice that the Beyond Meat option costs more than its meaty counterpart—a quirk I’m still trying to process. Still, it earns a solid 7/10 in my book.
What really stood out were the little extras. The self-serve station was a treasure trove of condiments: mayo, chili sauce, BBQ sauce, pickles, jalapeños—you name it. And the free drink refills? Always a win. But the true MVP? The sweet potato fries. Crispy, golden perfection.

Love this place from when my wife and I used to live in Noe; we live in Potrero now within minutes of two burger places and we STILL order from Hi-Way because 1) the burgers are truly delicious and 2) because there's a veggie option for me (Beyond patty) and a GF options for her (GF bun) which are sometimes hard to find together.

Bun is 5 stars. I got a single. Can't taste the cheese or see it. We asked if it was on and they confirmed it was. Sauce is ok.
Dirty. Employees don't wear gloves while touching ready to eat food (or at all). Gross. Also no hats so potential for hair in food.

Worst place you can stop by and eat dirty don't waste your money.
First time trying and I was pleasantly surprised with the burger I ordered well done. It was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. Vanilla shake was pretty good as well better than McDonald's shake.

Always double-check your orders when picking up, especially when the store is busy! I learned this the hard way when I was really hungry and started eating before realizing a few bites in that I got the wrong order. I had ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon, but instead, I received a plain cheeseburger. I emailed the store using the address on their website but haven’t received a response yet. Just wanted to give them a heads-up, as neither of us double-checked if I got the right order.
