Decent little laundromat, especially if you're traveling. There's a change machine for quarters and a dispenser for detergent & fabric softener ($1.25 for 1 load). I think it was $4.25 for a wash, plus 25 cents for every 6 min in the dryer.
I was there alone after dark and felt perfectly safe. The floors could have used a quick sweep and the trash can was full, but generally clean for a city laundromat!

A laundromat with wide opening hours (until 10 p.m.) very practical when you are on vacation in a hotel near Union Square as it is accessible in 10 minutes on foot.
A friendly facade decorated with colorful posters and the original side of the place is that a small café adjoins the washing area where you can wait and have a drink (when it is open) while the machines are running.
There you will find everything you need to leave with clean laundry: Washing machines of different capacities (around $5 for small ones, and $7 for large ones), a 25 cent coin dispenser, another for detergent and fabric softener ($1.25 per dose) and large dryers whose price depends on the drying time.
To summarize, it costs around ten dollars for laundry + standard laundry drying included, half an hour for washing and just as much for drying.
Only downsides: The café was closed the day and time I came and some dryers work less well than others, so you have to be lucky enough to choose the right one!

My visit today made all these good reviews look fake. The place is dirty and the trash can is overflowing all over the laundry area. About 1/3 of the machines are out of order. At one time, someone cared about this place. But today it is sad and a little creepy.

We are on vacation from Italy and needed a laundromat: this is the perfect place! The other great reviews are well deserved: the owner is extremely friendly and nice, the washing machines and dryers do their job, and the espresso is very good! We are very happy to have found this Cafe & Laundry!
