I've been coming to Himalayan cuisine since 2009. When it first tried their cheese naan with chicken korma and chicken tikka and yellow doll, I fell in love with the food, the customer service, the atmosphere, the stop, and the owner. I wish felt so taking care of and so valued whenever I would come in. So I kept coming back and then two years ago I moved to Portland and there was not one Indian or Himalayan restaurant that had as great food as Himalayan cuisine in SF. In If you I want the best of the best. Come here for dinner and bring your friends ;)Vegetarian options: The food is so good. You can't even tell that it's just vegetarian food. ;)

Beautiful food!!!! I love curry, Indian is my favourite cuisine so I was keen to see what the Himalayan style may be like and I was not disappointed! If we weren’t leaving SF tomorrow then I’d come back. We had two curries and shared a rice with a naan and couldn’t fault any of it. Chicken thighs were falling apart on the fork and the naan was perfect. Lots of rice too so one to share is plenty. Such good value especially in comparison to other places in the city. Would recommend to anybody but would just add that they could turn the music up just a little to give a bit more of an atmosphere.

Came to try some Indian food while visiting SF. Perfect hole in the wall restaurant walking distance from my hotel. Food was great and the prices are even better. Food came out quickly and was fresh for all dishes. Def try the garlic naan.

Really good food, warm service and very comfortable ambience. All the dishes are cooked with aromatic Himalayan spices with very authentic and delicious flavors. We got veggie momos, dahi chaat and samosas for appetizer and each item was excellent. I’m a fan of the chaat especially. There are a variety of breads and main dishes to select from. We ordered garlic, onion and cheese naans and chicken makhni, baigan bharta and paneer tikka masala for dinner and again, everything was exceptional. The owner was very courteous and really kind to my children.
Hand down the best Nepali restaurant in San Francisco!!! The service was fantastic and so was the food. My personal favorite was the jhol momo. Highly recommend to stop by if you are in San Francisco. Will definitely be stoping again in the future!!!

Definitely one of the best restaurant to eat Nepali foods in San Francisco. The food was delicious, highly recommend trying out their chicken jhol Momo. The food was so delicious that we came here to eat twice in a row. The customers service was great, friendly and very welcoming.

Three of us came in for a late lunch. We ordered two appetizers which were delicious. Then we ordered our main meal. Lamb korma, chicken momos, catfish tika masala, & vegetable biryani. All the flavors were absolutely delicious even my catfish tika masala until I tasted my catfish it was very hard and dry. Our adult son tasted my dish and his piece of fish was fishy & mushy. Two completely different tastes out of same dish. I asked our waiter over and let him know I did not like this dish. I ordered saag paneer, flavor was again delicious. Until I felt a hair in my mouth. Yes my hair was in a tight pony tail. I spit it out and decided I was done. My husband after that could not eat another bite. Its truly unfortunate
