In brief, pretty good omakase, especially for the value —18 pieces for a little over $120. None of the courses did I think were “not fresh.” Again, will recommend for the value. My only critique is the chef should give us new plates instead of wiping down our plates with the SAME cloth for each person.
Such a reasonably priced omakase! The corkage fee is only $35, which is a great deal. The taste, the portions—everything was excellent. It’s a hidden gem with no reason not to go. I’m definitely going every time I come to San Francisco. This is the second sushi spot opened in SF by the owner of Sushi Jin, and the quality is so good, it’s totally worth the money.
We made a reservation for 5 on a Thursday afternoon at 5:30pm. It wasn’t too busy and there was street parking right in front. We were welcomed by the friendly staff and we opted to sit at a table and not at the bar. They knew we were there celebrating a birthday and were really accommodating.
