The rice is also yummy here. Big portions, fair price.
10/10 recommend the General Tso Tofu. It’s on the sweet side comparatively, but they can make it spicier on request.

Wow oh wow!! Food is absolutely amazing, best Chinese food we have ever eaten! Fresh ingredients perfectly cooked, healthy (not drowning in oil). Stayed in SF for a few weeks, only regret is we didn’t find this place sooner - will place another order to bring back to rural Sonoma.. Thx soooo much Hulu Wa China Bistro!!

I would give less stars for food quality, and atmosphere if I could. I don't know how this place has a 5.0 rating. It was trash. The service wasn't great either. That 5.0 rating is not correct. They must be writing their own reviews. I wouldn't recommend this to my nosy neighbor that parks like a two year old. This place is not good. Me and Tasty was good, this place is not.

This place is around the corner from my apartment in a space I’ve seen a sad amount of turnover. Popped over for a quick lunch for the first time today… first of many. REALLY hope this one’s here to stay because the food is delicious! The lunch special is pretty badass in terms of price, portion size and quality.
We came here for dinner and wow- the food was fresh, delicious, piping hot with perfect wok hei 锅气. The place is also so cute and cozy, a hidden gem! We got the chow mein, green beans with tofu, sesame chicken and everything was amazing. The best part is they don’t use MSG.

The food is very good but their ordering system doesn't correctly list the ingredients, so I mistakenly ordered two dishes with shrimp that I can't eat. I wish they'd fix that. Otherwise I'd eat here again.

A hidden gem in the Castro (literally tucked behind Chevron gas station) . I’ve been here several times and the food and service is always consistent. Some of my favorites are the General Tsao’s chicken and the dry fried string beans, always cooked to perfection! This is my new go to Chinese restaurant in the Castro.

Good: - Super nice staff and really reasonable prices for good portion sizes - The food came out super quickly - The Mongolian beef was the best I've had in the city! So much flavor, and it was really chewy but pliable - Nice place to catch up with friends, quiet interior - The chow fun was really tasty and addictive, good texture and temperature
Bad: - The place is small there are only really 3 tables in the space
Overall I liked how this was a new find and would come back.
