Fast, convenient, & generous portions! We sat upstairs and people watched while enjoying some General Tso's chicken & Spicy String Beans. Great place if you are looking for a quick bite to eat!

Have visited this spot a few times recently and each meal has hit the mark. Still making our way through the menu, but l have to agree with other reviewers and suggest the sesame beef - so good! This is an easy to miss location, tucked right behind the train stop - but I wish them luck - a real nice addition to the neighborhood.

Wow so impressed. Such a great first visit experience- the food was so tasty and fresh. And the prices are also very friendly. Everyone in my group and I loved it! It is right next to Jane Warner plaza, nice location in the Castro and will definitely be coming back.

Best American Chinese I've had in the Bay. Everything was so hot, fresh, and delicious. I especially recommended the crab rangoons, char siu bao, egg fried rice, and orange chicken, but everything we tried was amazing!

This is a the best Chinese food I've had ever. 3 visits and never disappointed. The Walnut Shrimp is delectable. The General Tso's Chicken is delicate, seasoned appropriately and scrumptious,

The Mongolian chicken was spicy sweet and delicious. Good amount of food for the price. The lunch special comes with soup and that was also really good. I will definitely be back.

I was hungry and walked by all of my local places. My husband pointed out the new place and after canvassing the area, we agreed to eat there. This is the freshest Chinese food I have had in along time. The food was delicious and felt fresh, not frozen. All I have to say is after I ate here, I ordered Chinese 3 days in a row.

This absolutely delicious and fresh tasting Chinese food. The service is great and I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. There is an upstairs and an area near the kitchen. I will definitely be visiting again.

Potsticker appetizer was delicious, we then shared the General Tso's chicken, sesame beef, salt and pepper prawns and steamed rice. Chicken was particularly good, every piece was a juicy piece of white meat, nicely seasoned and not over-battered.Tip: Order one less entree than the number of people in your party and you won't waste food, unless you want delicious leftovers.

Really delicious. Got take out for the 1st time. Bright, well prepared variety of veg. Not overcooked. Kung Pao was clean and tasty. Chicken sliced nice and thin. Very tender. The photo's just 1/2 of each order I reheated at home. Good value. Please support this place!

This place is easy to miss in the hustle and bustle, but it is so worth a stop.I brought my family and we got the dry sauteed string beans, crispy spring rolls, general tso’s chicken, xlb soup dumplings, and kung pao beef. Everything was tasty, but the general tso’s was probably the best I’ve ever had. We did order too much food (but it was amazing leftovers). I will keep coming back.As a bonus: they have tables on the 2nd floor that overlook the vintage streetcars on F Market. Perfect spot.

Hulu Wa is located in an unassuming location behind a gas station, but it’s worth leaving the main road to try their food. I had the sesame beef lunch special that included a hot and sour soup. Both items were flavorful and the beef had a perfect crisp. So good! The waiter was also very nice, attentive with checking in at a decent pace and refilling my water. I’d like to go back sometime to try their other items ?

Lunch special is available on Saturdays. Selection of almost every dish on their menu and comes with a delicious bowl of hot and sour soup. I got the eggplant tofu and it was a heaping portion good enough for two meals. The flavor was authentic, a little on the salty side. Excited to have an affordable and tasty option for Chinese in the neighborhood.
