I asked for a lunch bowl with rice and hummus. They recommended the “hummus bowl”. It’s just a giant bowl of $20 hummus in a flimsy takeout container that’s now sloshing around my backseat.

I had an order delivered from Hummus Bodega for 40 person for a corporate event. Food was delicious, arrived on-time and warm and everyone loved it. We got everything in nice trays ready to serve. I recommend it for any corporate event too !

Pretty good food. The shawarma was good, but they didn't put enough meat in the laffa and the price is very high.

We ordered Hummus Bodega for a small reception of about 15-20 and the food was absolutely amazing! The team helped us create a perfect menu, and realistically even the food for 20 could've comfortably fed at least 30% more people. They were also kind, timely, flexible - but again, most importantly, the food was seasoned to perfection and scrumptious! Highly recommend :)

Such delicious and fresh hummus/shawarma, the flavors in the bodega style hummus with a side of shawarma hit the spot!! This is my new go to when I’m craving mediterranean

If you're looking for a tasty and filling bite, look no further. Tucked away on the corner of the avenue, is a wonderful bodega with friendly service and good vibes. While feasting on shwarma, we listened to an eclectic mix of music. Everything from klezmer to La Cucaracha. The shwarma was delicious and the fries were cooked to perfection, perfectly crisp. The pita was fluffy and served warm, making it the perfect vessel for the shwarma. I left with a full tummy and my evening made.

for someone charging $23 for a mediocre kebab in a pita bread there’s a lot of attitude going on, I felt like I was bothering the clerk by asking questions about the menu so I just left, good luck with your business

Full of “israeli” food. Bad vibes out the wazoo Updated from previous review on 2025-07-07
Decent food. Unwelcoming service and disproportionately high prices

The food was authentic and phenomenal, we had falafel, kufta kabob, schnitzel and swarma with fries, salad, pickles, and if course hummus. I guess we ordered the whole menu and ate the whole thing. Good size portions, quick service and kid friendly. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

We had a great schnitzel plate with a malt star beer. Portions were huge and very tasty.
I was excited to try Hummus Bodega, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. I ordered a pita sabih, and it was completely underwhelming. The sandwich lacked flavor—there was barely any hummus or tahini, which should be the foundation of a good sabih. Instead, it was overloaded with onion, and the deep-fried eggplant dominated the entire pita, leaving little room for anything else. The eggplant was greasy and took over the texture in an unpleasant way.
To make matters worse, the price was outrageous—$20 for one mediocre pita, and that’s before tip. For that price, I’d much rather go to Oren’s Hummus, where the quality is consistently better, and you actually get well-balanced flavors and fresh ingredients.
Overall, really disappointing. I won’t be back.
