Wonderful dining experience with gracious hostess, Sophia! The raw oysters were fresh, appetizers and main entrees were all delicious. The ambience was comfortable, 'old school' - calm, and enjoyable. The only hard part is parking nearby. It is on the Hyde street cable car line, and buses do run close to the restaurant. We'll all look forward to visiting again!
Great food and service! Highly recommend.

Both our server, Sophia, and the food were fantastic! So flavorful, perfectly prepared and generous. The cable cars coming by added to the overall delightful evening. Thank you!
Absolutely loved this place! Our crab and scallops were absolutely delicious. Our server Sophia was beyond welcoming and kind. She went above and beyond to make our experience so memorable. She even walked us to the door as we left in order to make sure she could open the door for us. We truly felt at home & appreciated as customers.

Excellent food. Prices were excellent as was the service and ambiance. Pan fried rainbow trout was superb. Escargots was the best we ever had.
Delicious food, nice service.

What a fantastic place! The food is outstanding, though not presented as a high end restaurant would, but I don't care at all about that. The prices are way more than reasonable for food and wine, almost unbelievable, and they have a Happy Hour from 5-7 each day, with $5 beers and $21/dozen oysters! Server was very friendly and honest, and working her tail off. Highly recommend this place.
This place needs a new owner and a refresh immediately. Last night's dinner for eight people was so embarrassing. One little person trying to handle the front of house, and I guess one little person in back? Mediocre appetizers took a full hour to arrive. Bread and butter were sourced industrially; nothing artisanal here. The wine list was largely sold out. The fish was okay at best. I will say the largely empty room was nice and quiet, and we certainly were not rushed through dinner. Nostalgia and an enticing location are not enough to keep this establishment on my list. Keep the cute awning and old-timey decor, but otherwise put this place out of its misery.
Our first time at this neighborhood spot. Been in business for 40+years. Nothing fancy, but the food was great with very friendly staff & excellent service with good value. Definitely recommended!
A wonderful dinner with fantastic service! Our waitress Sophia was so sweet!

omg finally found a place that had swordfish. It was very tasty and cooked well. I hate swordfish that is overcooked and they did extremely good job. The wine recommendation was perfect. My husband loved the clam chowder and his mahi- mahi was delicious.

The food and service were great! I'm sure I will come back if I will visit San Francisco again.
Wonderful food and a great atmosphere. One of the best lobster bisque we've ever had and it's only $12. Amazing! Everything was fabulous and it's quiet and lovely. I think the only thing was there was one server for everyone there and he was very busy. Other than that, I highly recommend and will absolutely be back. Thank you!
