IL Borgo is our favorite place to eat before a concert in the district. It's easy to make an early reservation so we have plenty of time to enjoy a delicious meal before a performance. This authentic Italian restaurant is a gem. The food is consistently great and you can't beat the value!
I was craving Italian i decided to try this place out. The best part was the atmosphere. I loved the old look and darkly lit dining area. Now, the service, which i think was the owner, was a little quiet. Small little local Hayes Valley Italian place. Rustic Italian food, made by real Italians. It was about a 15 min walk to the War Memorial. Fast service made it good for pre-event dinner.
