this place was underwhelming ! it has excellent reviews so my boyfriend and i were expecting more quality fish and ingredients. the service was good, but the food just wasn't top notch like the reviews made it seem like it was.

Quick and delicious place if you're craving Japanese or Korean food. Came here around 9pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Service was friendly and responsive. I ordered the Jjam Pong ($18) and it was filled to the brim with seafood (mussels, clams, shrimp, and even a whole crab leg) and udon. Taste was authentic and the kitchen was able to accommodate my "mild spicy" request. The bento box ($24) was a classic, nothing out of the ordinary and satisfied all cravings. Something unique was the black sesame dressing for the salad! Also, a must order is the Lucky 7 roll ($17) if you enjoy seared salmon. Overall, I had a great experience and the quality is amazing for what you pay for. Note that parking was difficult ... there's mostly street parking and a few garages two blocks down for $12-15 an hour.

I was actually kind of disappointed. This place has good reviews. The service was slow & not the friendliest. Had to stop the server for water refills, menu questions, etc. The only time server stoped was to ask if we were ready to order & drop off food. Food was mediocre. For the price I expected more flavor and rolls that weren't skimpy. Only served can sodas which is kinda lame. Not only is that a waste of trash and recycling services, but we all know fountain soda taste better. Kind of seemed like they were geared more towards Togo orders. Was in sf for a concert for my daughters 10th birthday. So I put a lot of research into finding a sushi place for her. I will say the pot stickers were super yummy. I think my experience may just be that, my experience. Seemed like most of the review's this was place great. Should definitely check it out for yourself!

Came here during 5-7 Pm Happy hour where they have 50% off alcohol. Japanese beers and wide selection of Sakes to choose from. Ended up ordering their recommended rolls which were the Lion King, 3 Amigos and Heaven. Solid rolls and portions. Service was attentive and quick. Great ambiance as well. Would come back again to try other items.

Absolutely disgusting!! We might have been able to stomach the rest of the rolls if we hadn't gagged on the Lion King...every mouthful after that was choking down mushy (not sticky) warm rice and questionable seafood. Bad enough I didn't want to take the leftovers to the homeless. Bad food overshadowed slow service but I'll go ahead and throw that in here as well. Don't believe the five star reviews!

OMG! This place was awesome. Came in here last night. Sat us at a lovely window table and just barely made it to the Happy Hour, half price on all drinks till 7:00. Our server Shwan, can't spell her name correctly, was very sweet and Patient. Great beer selection and entrees were served to perfection. Fresh sushi at its best. Had opportunity to meet one of the family members Terri. She took the time to come out and meet the family. This place was packed and now I know why! Some dishes were a one of a kind, unique in its own way with a twist of Japan. Must order the gyoza! We will be back and keep up the good work!

Best Asian restaurant I've been to in San Francisco! The food was amazing! My family's favorites were the amaebi, karaage and the gyoza and my Uncle even said "this is the best gyoza I've ever had!".Teri was very nice and the restaurant was very clean .Our food came out five minutes after ordering. The restaurant was also not too loud and decorated nicely. So in conclusion my family loved it and I would definitely go back there!

We went here before catching a show at the Masonic. We made reservations so there wasn't a long wait for us. We were greeted and lead towards the back of the cozy dining area right away by a very friendly hostess. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered several sushi rolls including the double salmon roll and lucky 7, uni scallop bites and takoyaki. Delicious!

Fish quality and food are good! But the Beef Tataki is not very good. It is not sliced thinly and it seems a bit overcooked.

I had very high hopes for this place but it ultimately was a bit disappointing. Nothing specifically wrong, but nothing stood out either. It have all the hallmarks of a run of the mill sushi spot without anything to really set it apart. Service was passable, but not very friendly or informative. Food was fine without the burst of flavor I'd normally expect at a standout sushi spot. I'm sure this is a solid go-to for anyone who lives or works in the area, but not worth going out of your way for.

(Unsure if the order of the sushi is correct here) Wow! This was some of the best sushi I have ever had. The rolls are huge and all so flavorful. It was hard to choose which rolls to order off the menu because they all looked so good. I would recommend all of the rolls but the heaven roll was my favorite. Service is very quick and the ambiance is chill but still has some energy. Highly recommend!!!

Overall, the fish quality is decent. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but not a terrible option for sushi in the area. The Heaven Roll and the Bay Bridge Roll were pretty delicious! Honestly, simple options, but they satisfied my sushi craving for the day. The waitresses here were quick and efficient. No compaints on the service! This is located on the corner of a commercialized area. Near The Masonic, August Hall, Union Square, and Grace Cathedral. (expect parking to be tricky!!)
