My wife and i recently moved back to the city and as luck would have it, Pacific Heights, three blocks away from Jackson Filmore...one of our favorites growing up. Jack greeted us at the door, and after 40 years, it is clear (if not amazing) that he still has a passion for personal service and amazing food and lovely wine. It had been 30 years since our last visit, and we were time warped back to our mid thirtys...this will become a classic go too, yet again. A must visit for thise who enjoy a casual yummy dinner, reasonably priced, and served with pride. Just go! Z

One of the best Italian restaurants. Real true Italian cousins. Every single thing on the menu is 5 ⭐️

My meal at Jackson Fillmore Trattoria was excellent. The service was friendly and professional. We had an asparagus, mushroom and prosciutto appetizer that was amazing, along with an order of Calamari, which was simple but good. My table mates had pastas for their main course, which they each said was excellent. One even asked for a special order of pasta- which they gladly accommodated. I had the Chicken Noci, which I had once before, and it was better than ever. We shared the warm and cold Zabaione desserts which were both unique and amazing. They also have a nice wine selection. Another great meal at Jackson Fillmore Trattoria.

Service was professional and staff was friendly including the cooks. I ordered the red snapper in spicy tomato sauce which was fresh and tender and also a generous portion. However. I would've preferred a smaller portion with 2 different sides to choose from. My husband ordered the tortellini and it was delicious. It was baked in the oven and the plate was hot. It was a great neighborhood dining experience. Will go back.

Good food and nice people. It was the San Valentine's night so busy but the service was great. I enjoyed it.

The half chicken was probably the worst dish I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It was almost all bones. I wasn’t going to write a review but I woke up thinking about how terrible it was.

The tiramisu was below average and tiny. The carbonara was great though, and the Zucchini.

But this place is just not worth the time and money. They also have a 6.5% SF “mandate fee”. But the main issue is how disappointing the food was - especially the chicken and the dessert.

A neighborhood gem with decent food that satisfies but doesn't impress. The service leaves something to be desired. It seems to be run entirely by the staff, and one employee in particular stands out. He serves as the host, waiter, and even bouncer! While enjoying dinner with a friend, we ordered an appetizer, a bottle of wine, and our main dishes. As we were savoring the last of our wine, he approached our table and, raising his voice, demanded, “You have to leave now, I need the table.” The people at the next table glanced at us, making it clear they thought we had committed some great offense against the establishment.

Such a wonderful meal and atmosphere. We loved sitting at the bar, definitely the best vibe. The pastas were delicious, but the chocolate mousse cake brought it over the top!

Side note - my parents went on their first date here 30 years ago! Amazing that this place is still here and delicious :)

Super yummy homestyle Italian restaurant!! We got the roasted chicken and eggplant Parmesan. Both were delicious. For dessert, the Affogato is a must. So yummy!!

Jackson Fillmore is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. We've been coming here for years and still enjoy its delicious food and warm service. Great for both casual date night and special occasions, this a true local gem. Don't sleep on the zucchini carpaccio, gnocchi bava, carbonara, or chicken noci.

We had not been to Jackson Fillmore Trattoria in 20+ years, and we're delighted to see that their food quality is still top notch! We loved every bit of our meal, and will surely return. The artichoke appetizer was a standout for us, and the service was attentive and swift. The owner is hands on and clearly puts a lot of time, attention to detail, and passion into this endeavor. A really lovely place overall that we cannot recommend highly enough!

We had really perfect bar seating which we always prefer to a table. The Spaghetti Carbonara was really good (my husband has been searching for years for a place who can replicate the Carbonara we used to get at Vannessi's on Broadway in S.F. (that closed in the 80's)). My Salmon was very fresh with not one bite tasting fishy. We will go back soon.

Sat at the bar, staff was very nice, they took us early even though we had a reservation for later in the day. Really liked the gnocchi.

Make sure to check the hours before going, they’re closed on Mondays
