Always have a great meal at Jackson Fillmore. I love the zucchini carpaccio and have several favorites including the Bombolotti and Chicken Noci. The staff are great too. A real gem in the neighborhood!
Chianti I ordered had turned and was woefully past serving... unfortunately I consumed some and have had an unhappy G.I. truck since then
We really enjoyed our meals and the wine. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Been frequening the place for 29 years and always walk away happy.
Great neighborhood restaurant. The tortellini was fantastic, good wine recommendation from the waiter, cozy, surprisingly inexpensive. Will definitely keep going back.
Always a wonderful time and great food! Had the chicken special. Great protein heavy meal and so tasty!
Dined with three friends on a Thursday evening. There was no ambience. The service was mediocre our wine was never even presented to us. Just poured at the table. The specials were the same as whatever was on the menu. The menu was something from 1985 needs an update and it needs a new or remodeled bathroom.
It is simply the best. I go as often as I can. Used to live in the city, I now come from Oakland Hills.
Open Table said we didn't show up for the reservation. We certainly did show up. We were early and the host seemed confused about our name. It was a delicious "old school" Italian dinner.
For those who remember Little Italy in Noe Valley, Jackson Fillmore is its successor. And all of our favorite dishes continue to thrill us with their perfection. Going to Jackson Fillmore is a treat, one that we've savored for over 40 years.
Wasn't sure what to expect, but this blew us away. First, the bruschetta that just magically lands on the table was outstanding. I half-joked that I wanted another, and it appeared on the table (and not on the bill, which would have been fine!). What sounded like a humdrum salad - salade verdure - was also outstanding. The creamy garlic dressing is clearly not from a bottle. the vegetables underneath the lettuces were perfected par-boiled. Just delicious and big enough to split. The spaghetti carbonara was done the way it's supposed to be (as far as I know). Great flavor, not too saucy (like an Alfredo). The Pollo alla Siciliana is perfect for a high-protein, no carb meal. If I would suggest an improvement, it's the wine list. The wines by the glass is a very thin list. The Chianti was really nice, but the second glass (cab from Maremma) was something I would not order again. (Note to self - in an Italian restaurant, the Chianti is a good bet.) The servers are friendly and reasonably attentive. We arrived at 5:30 to be able to make a 7:30 curtain, and it was very quiet. By 6:00, however, the place was humming. Clearly a neighborhood gem that deserves your attention.

The food was delicious, small plate though and same for the wine.
Jackson Fillmore is a wonderful family-style Italian restaurant. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. You can't go wrong with any dish or bottle of wine!
This is a sleeper. Been around for 40 years for a reason in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in SF. Amazing food, great service and they make you feel like you’re at a best friends house. It’s not a 3 star Michelin restaurant and I love that. Do yourself a favor and go eat here. I’ve been three times and ordered something different each time and all amazing.
My wife and i recently moved back to the city and as luck would have it, Pacific Heights, three blocks away from Jackson Filmore...one of our favorites growing up. Jack greeted us at the door, and after 40 years, it is clear (if not amazing) that he still has a passion for personal service and amazing food and lovely wine. It had been 30 years since our last visit, and we were time warped back to our mid thirtys...this will become a classic go too, yet again. A must visit for thise who enjoy a casual yummy dinner, reasonably priced, and served with pride. Just go! Z
