Jane The Bakery on Geary is an absolute gem and easily one of the best bakeries in SF.
The bread is next-level—perfectly crusty on the outside, soft and flavorful inside. Their sourdough and multigrain loaves are staples, and they consistently nail both taste and texture. You can tell everything is made with care and serious skill.

A great and real bakery. Fresh pastries always win. The place is crowded, partly because they open well before 10am, the time other nearby choice unlock their doors. But the staff have a good system in place, and the customer queue moves quit quickly.
One recommendation coming from a type-1 diabetic, hopefully Jane can offer more choices not drenched in icing or sugar. For instance, I would have picked the cinnamon roll had it just been without the white icing....
