We got the beef and pork. All the meat was tough to chew. Lots of gristle. The Veggies were good but there was A LOT of onion in everything. The Spam Fried Rice had a couple pieces of Spam. I was very disappointed in the low grade meat and onion filler.
This is awful Korean bbq. Cooked dishes, side dishes, sauces. Everything is poorly made. Go somewhere else.
My family and I used to be regulars here but unfortunately, we won't be coming back. Food quality and portion size really seem to have diminished. Meats were dry and under cooked. I understand the hardships through the pandemic but things like this definitely will hurt the business. I probably still would have gave them another chance but one of the staff ultimately did me over.I ordered the Cold buckwheat Noodle (Buckwheat noodle mixed with veggies, BEEF, egg in cold beef soup or spicy sauce). The food arrived and it seems to be missing the beef. I thought honest mistake, I asked the staff and she told me that there's actually no beef in this dish and not sure why it says that on the menu. She just looked at me and left it at that then walks off. Now if she would've just asked if I'd like to change my order, I would have kept it anyways. It was almost as if she just said "too bad" and walked off. That didn't sit well with me or my family. Unfortunately, that will be my last time there.
What happened to here? Do not order Bossam, kimchi was gone sour and they did not do anything. Banchans were less than mediocre. Staffs were friendly.
They included 20% tip with additional tip section to make people easily double tipping. And we got into the trap end up double tipping. They food was eatable not top quality. NEVER will visit them again.
they charged us $50 more only because we brought more than 6 people and it was just a gratituty fee. how can i be grateful when the food was nasty too?? only the teokkbokki and corn cheese was good. don’t buy food from here it’s super overpriced ????
Nice hole in the wall BBQ. Makgeolli was good, wait service was good. Will return to try their samgyupsal...
Great food and always friendly staff. Just had the yugaejang, very good.
Quite possibly the best Korean BBQ in SF. Super friendly waitstaff and all around an amazing time
I always judge a place on its side dishes or smaller plates. Jang Soo has great kimchi, banchan, mandu, and jiggaes. The portions are good, and the atmosphere is casual and authentic. I love coming here!

Good quality meat, like it.
What should I say… I found a piece of metal wire in my soup. I almost swallowed it, but felt something that I thought was a bone. When I took it out of my mouth, it was a wire. A metal…wire. That I almost swallowed.
Always amazing galbi!! First time back since beginning of pandemic and it hasn’t missed a beat! Been going for 7 years. Love Jang Soo BBQ!
I appreciate a good hot grill. And they had it. Gas grill with permanent rocks underneath made for a good char. Recommend the fried rice cakes with honey. Highly recommended all around. kimchi chi ge was a little off, however. Staff was attentive and friendly. Setting was very nice
Our appetizers were excellent but the main dishes were hit or miss. The service was not great but that was probably due to how busy they were on Saturday evening. The TVs in the dining area were distracting (personal pet peeve). Also the bathrooms are not gender neutral as required by CA law.
