I ordered a matcha latte, but it had no flavor at all.
I occasionally order food delivery, but every time I order from this place, I end up feeling disappointed.
When I ask whether the food is ready, they respond rudely by saying “give me one second.”
There is no sense of customer service or courtesy.

The breakfast burrito and irish soda bread are delicious. Sadly they stopped offering the cream soda. The service could be more polite and organized, we had to ask for one of items which was missed and then for the sides which they forgot.

Berry soda bread was fluffy and not overly sweet....never seen soda bread at a coffee shop before so that was a nice treat. Americano was good and strong. Bathroom was clean. Staff and environment was pleasant. Location fantastic.

I've gotten some excellent pastries here: parmesan muffin and pumpkin bread with frosting. My friend raved about his sandwich. The service is friendly and the location is amazing across a narrow street from an island with plantings and paths
right near the beach, public restrooms if the cafe is busy, and at the end of the N streetcar. Pleasant outdoor seating has always been available for our medium-sized group in the early afternoon on a Friday.

I love this cafe, so much! The drinks and food are tasty, the people who work here are great about caring for people with food allergies and intolerances, and the location is fantastic! I highly recommend them!

Java Beach is a convenient stop if you’re just looking for a coffee, but I don’t recommend ordering food here. I’ve tried multiple times to have a successful meal and it’s never worked out, so I’ve officially given up. The kitchen always seems chaotic, and if you order more than one item, something will almost certainly be missed. You’ll end up asking multiple employees to check on it before anyone actually does, only to find out the item was never started.

The food is overpriced and underwhelming, and not worth the time or frustration. Stick to coffee, which is decent enough, and enjoy the convenient location, but save your appetite for somewhere else

Nice sized cafe right at the end/start of the N Muni line. Closest cafe to Ocean Beach (you literally just have to cross the street). It has a nice beachy vibe to it, in tones of light wood. It does get busy, especially on weekends. So keep that in mind if you are counting with a sit. Tried their Hibiscus Tea, it was good! Decent Macha Latte as well. Not the most expensive cafe I have been to.

I love this place, best butterscotch latte ever. I have to stop here every time I'm in the area. Friendly employees and great service. Beach and park across the way to enjoy after you leave.

Stopped in for lunch on a beautiful San Francisco day in December. I order the BLT and a bagel for my son but since they were out I was recommended toast and that was the perfect suggestion.

On a cool rainy morning a man wanted a warm cup of coffee. This location was close to where I stayed. The coffee was great. The chick that took my order was cute. The atmosphere was cozy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Java Beach Café – San Francisco (Sunset District)

Java Beach isn’t just a coffee house — it’s a community. This quaint, long-established spot has been part of my life since the early 2000s, and I’m so glad to have found my way back. It’s vibrant, welcoming, and full of genuine people who make every visit special.

The bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito is hands-down my favorite — #1 tier in my book. The coffee is always hot, dark, and perfectly brewed.

A big shout-out to Michelle, Tiffany, Dylan, Fiona, and the rest of the crew — some just starting out, all of them eager, kind, and attentive. Their friendly energy makes this place what it is.

If you’re anywhere near the Sunset District, do yourself a favor — stop in for a burrito and a cup of coffee. You’ll feel right at home. ☕🌯❤️
