The soulful energy and the authentic community atmosphere of this historic neighborhood lounge make it an absolutely wonderful destination for anyone who wants to experience a real piece of San Francisco jazz culture in an unpretentious setting. I spent a long time enjoying the live music because the performers are incredibly talented and the intimate layout of the room creates a perfect connection between the band and the audience that you rarely find in more commercial venues. I really loved the warm hospitality of the staff and the regulars because everyone is so welcoming and it feels like a place where the history of the neighborhood is celebrated through every song and conversation throughout the evening. The space is maintained with a lot of character and I noticed that the drink prices are very reasonable which makes it a fantastic spot to relax and soak in the local vibe without the high costs typically found in the downtown districts. It is a must visit for any true music lover or traveler who appreciates a hidden gem that prioritizes soul and connection over modern trends or flashy decor. I also appreciated the sense of belonging that the venue fosters because you can tell that it is a cherished gathering place for local residents who have been supporting live jazz for many years. Even though it is located outside the main tourist areas the positive energy and the incredible talent on display make the journey to the Bayview district completely worthwhile for an evening of great sounds. I will definitely be returning here soon to support the local artists and enjoy the legendary hospitality because the combination of the historic charm and the vibrant music is truly a highlight of the city.

Went june 9th Kuz it was like 1am maybe ? idk but it was for my sister birthday just something quick to do after bowling we didn't stay long Kuz the were getting ready to close we were with a group and the vibes was ok the requlars were looking kuz we was lit! they were on their last few songs my sister asked the guy that was playing songs to play a song Kuz it was her birthday so he said ok so when I tried asking at first he ignored me but the guy who was sitting right next to him smiled at me and I asked him can he ask the dude to play a song and the one who was playing the music rudely said to me "No I'm only playing the song the birthday girl ask me and thats it!" Which I understand because they we closing but it's the way he said it that had me feeling like that who environment was just weird and unwelcoming so I decided I'm never going back. And that whole crowd was 10+ years older than us just a bad example fareal smh.
My long time friend celebrated her birthday there. The food was good and catered from an outside vendor. The atmosphere was pleasant and filled with old school music by the DJ.
