Finished a 5K run in GGP and wanted a burger before heading home and decided to try this place over Super Duper (which is also nearby).
I got the Cheeseburger combo. The cheese came unmelted. They have a do-it-yourself toppings bar which is a unique experience and allows you to go crazy on toppings if you wanted to. No special sauces here which I think is usually what makes a burger stand out, otherwise all the other toppings are pretty basic. I say the burger is OK, I just wish there was more flavors to choose from the bar.
The fries were excellent and crisp. Fountain drink is as you expect.

Use to be a 5, but they changed their French fries. The crinkle cut were better.

The Best burguer in SFO. Period.
I really like their “build your own condiments” section. They make the burger and give you buns. You can put however much lettuce, onions, ketchup, and more on your burger. Tried the bacon cheeseburger and it was pretty good!

Solid burger joint within walking distance of Golden Gate Park. Each burger is made-to-order and affordable (by SF standards). My favorite part was the self-service condiment bar; I got exactly what I wanted on my burger with the perfect amount of sauce-to-toppings ratio. More places should do it this way!! The service is friendly and fast. The inside dining space is limited, but has a warm greasy-spoon feel.
Amazing food! Made fresh and quickly in front of our eyes, and came out nice and hot. The burger patties are the biggest I’ve seen, and they’re still soft and tender and can be cut with flimsy plastic knives, so juicy! Onion rings fried to perfection. Seriously consider giving this mom and pop shop a try for American classics

Don’t understand the buzz about this place… the quality of burger meat was incredibly mediocre: on par with school lunches from the 90s, and not the Alice Waters kind. I can only imagine that the place stays in business with tourist foot traffic that doesn’t know better. I usually support local businesses above all else, but am looking forward to getting another burger place in the neighborhood, even if it is a chain!

For how expensive this place was I expected a better burger. Definitely below average

The redeeming thing about this place is you can put as many ingredients on your burger as you want.
Great burgers! We went on a Sunday afternoon, food was out fairly quick! Service was good. We loved being able to top our burgers as we like.

An absolute classic. If you want a no-frills burger that hits exactly the way it should then look no further than this place.

Great backyard burger. I love the no frills vibes. Get to pick my own toppings and the pink burger sauce is delicious. Reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend.
