OMG, the Hotteok Kouign-amann is like the glorious love child of a croissant and baklava and is quite possibly the best pastry either of us has ever put in our mouths!!!

Got lucky and had no line on a Sunday at 11AM. I think this place is pretty innovative and delectable. I’m a sucker for not-too-sweet pastries, custard, and rice cake. So this really hit the spot.
Love the puff and Injeolmi croissant. Einspanner drink is also delicious. Wish the service can be a bit faster

Stopped by on a Saturday morning after seeing this place on TikTok and arrived right around opening. There was already a small line, but the wait was only about 5–10 minutes. They limit the shop to three customers at a time, so I can imagine the line getting much longer later in the day. The bakery is located inside the Japantown mall and has a very minimal look to it. Staff were friendly and efficient.
I picked up five pastries: almond croissant, orange chocolate bun, injeolmi croissant, hotteok kouign-amann, and a danish. The orange chocolate bun was the standout, super unique and absolutely delicious and would highly recommend. The injeolmi croissant was also excellent, the rice cake was soft and chewy with a nice soybean powder coating, though most of the powder fell off during transport, so I’d recommend eating it right away. The hotteok kouign-amann was pleasantly surprising with a nutty, sweet flavor and it felt really well balanced. The almond croissant and danish were solid and exactly what you’d expect from a top tier bakery.
Everything held up well even when eaten later at home, and surprisingly tasted great the next day too. Prices felt very reasonable for the quality. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and don’t mind a potential wait.

Pastries are not too sweet. I enjoyed the salt bread. Banoffee crossaint was a bit unwieldy
Only tried their signature injeolmi croissant. Quite good - not too sweet, excellent roasted soybean flavor, good contrast between the crunch of the croissant and the chewy rice cake. Only minor negative was the dryness of the croissant. Service and space are utilitarian.

I thought their food was alright the service was kinda bad they don’t have no napkin and the service was slow so overall customer service is bad and not that friendly, I try to ask for water cup they say I have to buy that. Two two workers work there got people waiting and working pretty slow

My partner and I stopped by on a Saturday. It was super busy in the mall, as expected, but the line went by surprisingly fast. We ordered cream puffs as well as a couple of drinks. The cream puffs were absolutely delicious - the matcha is our favorite. The drinks were good too - better than a chain coffee shop but not the best matcha latte in comparison to other matcha lattes.

The matcha cream puffs are THE Best pastry I've ever had. The are so creamy and crunchy and so so so delicious and it's not that sweet which I truly appreciate.
We got all 3 flavors and here's our ranking:
1.Matcha
2. Hujucha
3. Sesame
We arrived at around 12pm on Saturday and had to wait for 10 minutes for the cream puffs.
It usually there is a line but it goes fast.

While the quality of the coffee is quite high, the service completely ruined the experience. There is one server—a very haughty individual with noticeable tattoos and piercings (may be Japanese)—whose attitude was appalling.
The café was completely empty, and I was patiently waiting for my order right by the entrance. Despite this, she loudly shouted at me to leave and wait outside! This blatant lack of respect for a customer is unbelievable. If service like this is tolerated, why bother being open? Between the mediocre atmosphere and this stunningly rude staff, this will be my first and last visit.

I love this place!! The Pastry and Honeycomb Latte—omg, such a perfect combo. Linea Coffee is always my favorite, and I like that they’re using the same coffee bean. The Hojicha Puff is another favorite of mine. Just typing this out makes me want to order again soon haha.

This place is dangerous! The baked goods are delicious, and you'll want to eat everything before you get home.
Located on the bottom floor in the Japantown mall, there's usually a line to get in and the pastries sell out quickly.
We tried the popular black sesame creme puffs, croissant, and Kalbijjim Croissant. Savory or sweet - you won't be disappointed.

Injeolmi croissant: 10/10. Mochi layer with crispy croissant is amazing and special.
Galbijjim croissant: 7/10. Unfortunately don’t feel this works well if not hot. Caveat - we came at 3:30pm close to closing so may be better earlier.
Garlic scone: 8/10. Really nice dense garlicky scone.
This review is for one of the employees at Jina Bakes.
She appears to be of Asian descent, possibly a mix of Chinese and Japanese. I’m not sure if she’s part of the owner’s family or a long-time employee, but her behavior stands out in a negative way. Instead of politely handing customers their baked goods, she tosses them onto the table.
While waiting for my coffee on a Sunday, I observed several of her interactions with other customers, and the attitude was consistently rude. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed this behavior, either. She could really benefit from some customer service coaching—or perhaps this role just isn’t the right fit.
