What decent seafood market doesn't have scallops? I went out of my way to this location because its size and reputationwere promising. Are scallops that rare? They didn't have fresh scallops. They didn't have frozen scallops. Disappointed.

I really needed crab to make crab cakes for a family celebration and I couldn't find it at my normal spots and Costco since it's off season. JR seafood came to my rescue! I ordered the night before on DoorDash and picked it up the next morning and I was impressed. Huge beautiful pieces of crab and guy helping me was very nice. Family loved the crab cakes and I will be coming back here!

Excellent seafood, but please call and ask beforehand. These guys can get you stuff like live crab fresh from the boats but this requires calling ahead of time. Excellent oysters all the time.

We have been customers for over ten years. The quality is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. The owners are wonderful and the staff has always been friendly and courteous. We purchase the majority of our seafood from them because they purchase sustainable seafood.

I went to their store a few weeks ago and it within their business hours, but it was closed, there was no sign and no one answered their phone. I was disappointed because their webpage didn't mention different business hours.

Eh...I ordered $175 worth of Alaskan king crab legs over Christmas break and they were underwhelming. A lot of broken legs and almost all small claws. They were not the large king crab legs that were available at other places. It was disappointing because after I unpacked them at home I went to Berkeley Bowl to grab groceries and they had king crab legs too. Their legs looked way better than the legs that I got from JR and only an extra $5 per pound. Would have been happy to pay extra for their legs. My advice would be to really look at your seafood over before you pay and walk away with you box. Ask to see the product before they swipe your card. Had I done that, I would have left the crab legs there and kept my $175 (or asked for better legs) That was my bad - don't make my mistake! JR has great prices but when you pay less for seafood it's likely because you're getting a lesser product :( I know that now!

Went here recently to pick up some crab legs and shrimp for a seafood boil. Called ahead to make sure they had what I needed and I believe the owner answered. I was able to ask if what I wanted was in stock and came by a few hours later to pick it up. Looks like they had some other orders already boxed for customers to pick up on arrival so it that was nice knowing you could call ahead and have everything prepared. What gets them 5-stars is the fact that they brought out the entire box of crab legs to let me choose which ones I wanted and even took an extra 5 minutes to explain the different sizes of shrimp they had available. I thought this was super nice and definitely not something they had to do. I'd definitely come back for that alone :)

Drive all the way to San Francisco to get crab legs , amazing prices , fantastic customer service owner was very attentive and detailed and even teaches us the differences between seafood definitely recommend, fresh quality seafood.
