I ordered the $150 gift box for a friend. It arrived during the Los Angeles fires and was returned to Minamoto because of that tragedy. They informed me that the candy had expired and they would not replace it. I asked them to resend the “expired” candy and they are getting a one-star because they charged me again for the full FedEx shipping. Do not expect any customer service with this vendor.

A great place for Japanese sweet treats. We tried several different types and found them to be absolutely fantastic. If you love Japanese sweet treats, this will be the place to find authentic Japanese sweet treats. The treats tend to be on the pricey side, but that’s to be expected.

I recently heard about K Minamoto and had to stop by since I was in the area. With only a few physical stores in North America, I couldn’t pass up the chance! Nestled along the edge of the Financial District, the shop greets you with elegant display cases filled with beautifully crafted Japanese treats, almost like stepping into a high-end jewelry store. The assortment includes everything from fancy cookies and jellies to mochi and more. While the prices are on the higher side, sometimes you just have to indulge. I picked up some mochi for myself, and it definitely tasted fresher and more premium than what you’d typically find at the supermarket. Is it worth the price? That’s up to you, but I also grabbed a few boxes as gifts, and they were a huge hit!

Cute store with Japanese sweet treats, but pricey for sure. Got the waffle cookies, Tokoyo and Suikanshuku.
Personally love the Suikanshuku, it is rarer to see store carries it, love the good quality dried persimmon dessert.

What a silly shop. It’s 2024 and the lady required me to wear a mask. LOL another lost customer, don’t support this terrible business

Minamotokishoan, one of the top brands of Japanese wagashi. There is no problem except that it is a little expensive. However, it is reasonable to pay a little more to bring Japanese taste to the United States intact.
