Kayah is another location of the Burma empire in SF. The location is quite nice, right next to the Chase stadium and hospital. The service is excellent, our server was attentive and took great care of us, answering questions about dishes in detail.
The good is where this place really falls short. We found the dishes to be quite bland and sometimes undercooked. We ordered the spicy noodles, which were not spicy at all and the noodles very very al dente. The several tofu dishes we ordered tasted identical, the paratha curry had very little flavor, it was just very disappointing. The saving grace was the tea leaf salad and the garlic eggplant dish, both were quite tasty. But for the price, I really expected more, both in quantity but especially quality.
We really wanted to like this place but will not be coming back.

Came across this place while looking time during an extra long layover at SFO. We walked in of the street and we're immediately seated. We ordered drinks which were served within minutes of ordering - the bartender knows their stuff.
We ordered calamari for an appetizer which was very fresh and super well seasoned. Our entrees were awesome. The flavors were great. I love curry and Burmese curry turns out to be a little but subtle compared to my favorite Indian dishes, but still really good.
I'll have to hot this place up and try some more dishes next time I'm in town!

Overpriced. Dishes lack flavor. Food taste American aside from the overwhelming amount of lemongrass taste. They lack Asian spices and flavor.

Terrible place. Gave me red sauce and few pieces of tofu in it. No other veggies.
Also, served us curry that has chicken broth despite us mentioning weβre vegetarians. Definitely looking into filing a complaint.

I went to Kayah by Burma Love at the Chase Center β their newly opened location was already bustling!
Iβve always enjoyed Burmese cuisine, and their menu here delivers the same flavors I love from their other spots. Prices are about average β not cheap, but consistent across their locations.
The servers were attentive and gave us great recommendations π The environment is stylish and inviting β definitely the kind of place you want to linger.
I like their curry chicken. The portion was really big. The pork belly was also really good and I definitely recommend dipping into the sauce. I also never have pineapple salad before so that was pretty good.
Next time, Iβm 100% checking out their bar! πΉ

I have had two amazing meals here. Recommend the steak and fried chicken, and of course the tea leaf salad!
The first was a quiet Monday when there was no event on at Chase, it was an intimate atmosphere with speedy service. Another visit I was seated outside in the sun and the Valkyries game was shown on the big screen, there was a fantastic atmosphere and although it was much busier, the restaurant had ample staff.

I love Burma Superstar so I was very happy to find out that this restaurant is its younger sibling. If you're tired of eating the fast food inside Chase Center, this restaurant is a great alternative. We sat outside (sunny day in San Francisco) so we could determine when to leave the restaurant before the queues grew for the Valkyries game. We ordered light so we could eat quickly before the game. Their menu had lots of gluten-free options...heavenly! We ordered the fresh spring roll, veggie/tofu curry and coconut rice. The server knew we were heading to the game so he was quick to take our order. He suggested we order everything we wanted including any dessert so that he could close our check and we can eat and run. Perfect! No dessert for us. Next time we'll need to go much earlier to enjoy a more leisurely dining experience.

This spot is delicious but pricey. This restaurant is tucked away from the street, in the plaza which means it has a spacious patio for nice, sunny days. I visited this restaurant on a Monday when there were no events on the plaza or in the Chase Center.
For an appetizer, we ordered Mini Samusas which had a delicious chutney that had a nice kick. For our main, we ordered the Harvest Green Curry and the Chicken Coconut Curry. Both were delicious and packed with flavor.
I would come back, but probably not regularly because of the prices.

June 2025:
Celebrated a new job here and ordered the Burmese Tiffin. There was a lot of food and it was fun to try many dishes. We were one of the first to be seated and the food was mostly lukewarm. Not sure if the food was sitting for a bit. We were there at 630pm on a Friday.
The tea leaf salad was very good. The roti platha was cold and hard. That was disappointing. The wok charred cabbage was good. For the Burmese curry, we had the coconut chicken (winner π) and the local fish curry (okay). Our stir fry option was the wagyu beef (tasty π). There was also two kinds of rice (Jasmine and coconut). Both were good.
For dessert, had the fried banana milk. It came with ice cream. Dessert was tasty.
Overall, a good meal. Just wish the food was hot.
January 2025:
Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the hamachi crudo, short rib quesadilla, and samosas.
Food was very tasty π. Hamachi crudo had some nice sauces, cucumber, tomato, jalapeno, and salmon roe eggs.
The samosas had a tasty chutney. The quesadillas were wrapped in a delicious roti. Would get that again.
Was also impressed by their selection of spirits.

We wanted to see what is the difference between this restuarant and Burma Love, so we decided to give it a try!
We got some drinks, the Tea Leaf Salad, and the Crispy Pork Belly! Their cocktails are amazing, smooth and balanced.
The Tea Leaf Salad comes with baby gem, cabbage, tomato, jalapeno, nuts, seeds, shrimp floss, lemon and fish sauce. Which is really tasty, as good as Burma Love.
The highlight was the Cripsy Pork! It's packed with flavor, the pork is juicy and tender, and paried well with ginger pineapple slaw and jasmine rice! HIghly recommend!
