On the more expensive side, but the pizzas were pretty good.

It's a cool spot. Pizza options are great but the crust was burnt but the middle was kinda soggy.

Incredible pizza. Even better service. The interior is very well done including a beautiful salt water fish tank.

The Best. The perfect crust straight out of a pizza oven. Amazing toppings and specialty pizza, it brought me to Italy in one singular bite! Could not stop eating this brilliant food!! Out of this world!

You can trust all of the great reviews here.

The last time I enjoyed pie like this was in the Mother Country with a family who had a farmhouse with a hand built wood fired oven of more than 3 generations.

The food and hospitality are so well executed and welcoming, and the selections and creative toppings well thought out and inspired in a cozy casual environment right by the park. You can taste the care and experience that go into the offerings and attention to detail.

Also appreciated that the ambient sound levels allowed for great conversation to accompany the wonderful food and beverages paying homage to that other secret ingredient (good company).

I’d love to know the story of how this local gem came to be, because it deserves to be celebrated 💖

Nice hidden spot with delicious pizzas. We had the regular cheese pizza and it was tasty.

Despite its unassuming exterior, it one of the best Neoplaton style pizza spots in the city. It is my mom's favorite pizza spot she has ever been to.

This is the spot if you’re looking for pizza. The crust is perfect, the toppings couldn’t be better, beer menu is on point and the service is exceptional.
We will be coming back.

The pizza was burnt. We wanted to sit at another table, but they said it was for five. Then other people arrived and they were allowed to sit at the table, but they were a group of three and we were four. Not recommended for kids.

The pizza is to die for, each ingredient is either made in-house (shout out to the home made burrata) or impeccably sourced. The vibe is cozy but there is also room for large groups in the back. We adore the people and the food, thank you!

Tried the Manzo E Burrato, Carne Funghi, and Zucca Violino. My favorite one was the Carne Funghi. The flavor was good and mushroom texture paired well with the sausage. The wagyu sausage in the manzo E Burrato was okay. I liked the sweetness of the squash in the Zucca Violino. Overall, the pizzas were a perfect thickness and texture, but i wasn't a fan of the taste of the burnt parts.

We shared 3 pizzas among 5 people and it was the perfect amount!

We sat outside in the parklet, and was a peaceful setting with golden gate park across the street.

Pizzetta Napoletena threads a laid-back, rock-infused vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. The atmosphere leans casual but intentional—relaxing rock tracks set the tone without overpowering conversation.

The pizza delivers where it counts. Good char on the crust signals proper heat discipline, and the Diavolo pizza surprises with a clever touch: crisp lettuce layered on top to cut through the grease and add balance. It’s a small move, but it shows thoughtfulness in composition. Pair it with the Irish red ale on tap, which hits the spot with malty depth and just enough bite.

One note for improvement: the bathroom setup could use attention. The occupancy indicator gives a false positive, which leads to awkward pauses and unnecessary waits. It’s a minor fix, but worth addressing to match the care shown elsewhere.

Overall, Pizzetta Napoletena offers a solid slice-and-sip experience with enough character to warrant a return visit—and a few small tweaks could elevate it even further.

We happened on this place while visiting Golden Gate Park (and being disappointed by the cafes inside the park and refusing to pay to go to the Japanese Tea Garden). It has scaffolding in front but don’t let that put you off. It’s a great pizza place and the food and atmosphere was great … even at 3:30pm.
