Kokio Republic used to be my go-to place for fried chicken in the city, but my latest order the chicken was dry and soggy, and the fries were completely different (also soggy) than in the past. Not sure what changed, but if this was a permanent change rather than a one-time hiccup then I likely won't be ordering from there anymore

Decided on a late night fix for fried chicken and this hit the spot! Got the 6 piece hot and sweet with pickled radish and corn on the cob. Corn on the cob was a little bland but the chicken made up for it! Would definitely dine here again.

Late night Korean fried chicken cravings? You've come to the right place! They deliver on Doordash too, which is even better.I ordered the Boneless Soy Garlic Fried Chicken, which was okay. The 6-piece was quite expensive and honestly, the chicken was a little dry. I did enjoy the sauce though! Maybe I'll try the wings next time. For sides, I also tried the Disco Theok-bokki Skewers and their Plain Risotto. These are DEFINITELY unique options for a KFC spot. The skewers were a new take on the "sotteok sotteok", but instead of sausage, they use fishcake! Pretty tasty and VERY saucy. The risotto really surprised me! Though it wasn't super traditional, it sure was delicious.

I found my experience at this establishment somewhat underwhelming. It's possible my choice of the chicken sandwich was not ideal. Unfortunately, the chicken cutlet lacked tenderness and it was challenging to chew. Additionally, I didn't care for the pickled radish.

Delicious food and at a good price. Beer happy hour. And the charming waiter. Highly recommended.

Low key disappointed that the boneless is just big chunks of chicken breast and not de-boned. This is first time seeing this since having lived in Korea for 5 years. Also, the picture I have is half-half soy garlic and the fried+mustard sauce but they both look nearly identical. There was barely any sauce. It was overall OK fried chicken but did not hit the spot at all from what is back in Korea. I'm mostly in disbelief at the lightly battered chicken breasts for what I paid. If I ever order again, I'd suggest to get bone in only and not mixed or boneless.

People laughed at me when I said I have a Korean Fried Chicken craving and I am off to search for a place on my day off. I randomly selected the closest one to my location today and I decided on this location. I was confused when people said they love KFC flavoring and different sauces. I keep thinking of the American Fast food Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) all this time. Ok, I don't get out much in the fries chicken World as not all fried chicken places are the same. I studied this menu well to figure out which items I . would enjoy the first time around. I decided on Combo 1. The wow factor was the deep fried Kim Chee rice balls! I loved it. I had order half chicken with bones and without bones. Next time I will order all with bones in because it is much softer meat. I was the only patron here so I was good. My side I chose was white rice. I was going to order a veggie item, but with all the sauce going on I figured I need plain rice to keep this balance from all the fried things. I ordered on the kiosk and found my seat. Only one chef in kitchen making my food and delivered to me personally. I enjoyed my food and wouldn't mind eating here again. There was just one restroom in the back. The tenderloin area is a little rough with interesting characters so I came here during lunch on weekdays. Just keep your eyes open and pay attention where you walk and you will be ok. Yummy in my tummy.

Got the combo # 1. 4 pieces of chicken, 3 kimchi balls. Was ok - not great. Didn't taste much different from some fried chicken with spicy sauce on it that you'd get anywhere else. The kimchi balls were the highlight, if there was a highlight.

We tried this place on a whim one night because it was close and looked good. It was very good and we even went back the next day for more! It is very rare that when we are visiting a town we frequent the same place twice but it happened with this restaurant. The chicken is fried to perfection and with different levels to choose from you can pick for your taste! While the restaurant itself isn't very big, it was quaint, cute, and definitely delivered on the chicken. We even tried to talk who I presume was the owner, into opening other locations elsewhere! :)

Food was yum, fast, and fun. Fried chicken, risotto, and smackin' kimchi. Fmood came fast. It is up a few blocks from Union Square.

I've gotta say, this is my favorite KFC in the Bay Area. The chicken's got that perfect crunch on the outside and it's so juicy inside. I just love it!
