Delicious Persian food. This was our first experience with this cuisine and Komaaj did not disappoint! Server & bartender were super friendly and very helpful with explanations and recommendations. We shared several different appetizers and the beef & plum stew and enjoyed it all. Interesting wines although all a bit on the pricey side, we thought. That said, we loved everything (especially the warm hospitality) and would definitely go back. Highly recommended!
Super cute place with great food. Olives and the walnut dip were absolutely the best in town. It's Persian cuisine with Armenian and Georgian wines. The decor is very well-done too which is rare for SF (designer-polished casual vibe). Photos on the walls and decor being originals from their grandparents which makes it all extra special. Love this new discovery
One of the most unique tastes and dining experiences in San Francisco! Love everything on the menu. Specially the olives and the meatballs. Their staff are friendly and professional as well. Cannot wait to go back again!!!
I loved this place. From the moment I walked in. the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly and patient. A neat, unexpected surprise was the menu changes every day, so the pictures of menus available are not necessarily the menu you will get upon arrival. 10/10 will be back.
Wonderful mezze plate and interesting Georgian and Armenian wine. Servers were friendly and attentive, never pushy, even though we lingered quite a while.
This is a very cute wine bar with a unique theme - northern Iranian cuisine is featured with Georgian and Armenian wines. I went with a friend and had a wonderful time. The food is excellent, and the ambience is very nice.
Great dining experience! Delicious authentic ingredients, expertise and ambiance. Finally a restaurant that's quiet enough to carry conversations in your normal level voice.
Perfect blend of flavors of Northern Iranian cuisine blend into a Persian Fusion dishes with perfect presentation.
It was a little cold and loud inside. Would be nice to add more carpets to make it warmer and cozier and curtains to block the cold. The crunchy pita bread for dips was delicious but also parts of it were very hard even for break with teeth or knife.
Extraordinary food and exemplary service in a vibrant space. I look forward to returning here often.

Komaaj keeps getting better, and it was good from the start. The food and presentation have gone up a notch, the remodeled room is inviting, and the wines were lovely.
We had a great birthday lunch for my sister here. Delicious authentic food, kind and friendly service, and unique decor all contributed to a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back.
Excellent Persian food! A variety from the typical Persian or Mediterranean cuisine. Quality of the food was outstanding and delicious. The wine selection is rare and unique. They also have a Persian inspired Pilsner, also very good! The recommendations of the server were spot on. Music and decor added to the entire experience. Will be back!
