The Cajun chicken from Krispy krunchy is so famous everywhere that when you eat it fresh you have not eaten a burger so tasty I would suggest that you do not eat the the ones that they have on the warmer if they don't make it fresh don't eat it because it doesn't taste good and you're going to bring it back and return it

I usually don't do reviews however this place has been getting so bad I decided to hop on here. I'm usually a regular here and come in on my way to work to get something to eat before hand. However lately the quality of the food has been getting worse and worse everytime I come in to the point that I've given up on the place. Today I bought some nuggets with what little money I had till payday and when I got them they were hard as a rock and tasted like they've been out for WAY too many hours. Then the ranch packet they gave me was already kinda open so was just coming out of the packet as I was walking with it. On top of that the staff hardly pays attention to their customers (not just me but every customer i see that goes in there) and their drink selections have been dwindling to the point of just lazy ordering. If it was just a once in a blue moon thing I wouldn't be as agitated but its like every time i come in now. It sucks because this was my daily go to for stuff and now after today I just give up on the place.

Ok, I really want to give them 5 stars, but it's gas station fried chicken y'all, 😆 so it can't get 5 stars. The chicken is unexpectedly delicious! Perfectly fried, no batter, just flour and amazing seasoning. Has a slight acidic, spicy vein running through the seasoning. Really quite satisfying at 2am when the bars close, or buy a bucket for Sunday picnic. It's a franchise, so you can find it in most cities, at least in California. But again, it's in a gas station convenience store, so it's not a dine-in, seated meal. Some of the best fast food out there! I mean, who doesn't crave fried chicken every now and then?!

Just writing this right after my meal, I’ve had a combo and some wedges. What I’ve came across is a stone under my teeth and an expired foul tasting ranch. If it comes to the chicken, yea it’s 8 hour old food under warmers.

Our family and friends used to buy from this S. Van Ness location for years, best chicken around. However, since my sons cancer diagnosis 5/2023, the service and chicken went downhill. My son's fave chicken and potato wedges would always run out, or we were served very dry, old food. Cancer patients can't eat food older than 30 minutes to 1 hr old bc of bacteria that won't affect healthy people but can kill low to zero immune sickly people. The Krispy Krunchy on 3rd and SSF always make fresh batches for my son and treat him to the delicious blueberry cornbread! Wish we could still go to 16th/S. Van Ness, but won't risk the time, safety, or off chance of finally getting fresh food.

Some of the people that previously worked there we're rude and dishonest. Sadly they seemed to possibly be illegal aliens and sometimes violent towards customers. The chicken is good but the service has often been terrible. I think it might be different now that they got rid of all those very overweight rude people. No offense, the police needed to investigate alot about assault and battery. They might have all lied about each brutalized individual and that was how they got away with it so many times?

RED FLAG!!!Greasy,over priced and people that work there are jerks. The clerk was picking her nose, no gloves, they over charge you on orders.Theyre coughing,spitting in food.Never going there again.Its the only place to get something to eat late in area, an they laugh at you if you mention anything about the cleanliness. Sticky gross and unsanitary area. I give this place a RED FLAG!!! For what ever it's worth.

It's up to you, gas station good atmosphere? Not really, but the chicken makes it seem better than it is, I think.If you have trouble with spicy, make sure you order with that in mind, or your chicken will have little rivers of hot sauce all throughout! If you dig spicy, well you get the picture.They have other things to eat as well, and it's open 24hrs a day! Woohoo!
