We eat at a lot of sushi restaurants, and this one in San Francisco Japantown is merely okay. Prices and selection are fine, but the rolls, for example, are somewhat smaller than what I'm used to and the sauces on the rolls are a tad overwhelming.

Excellent tasting sushi. Located inside the Japan center mall east wing in a quiet little corner. There are only a few tables, so if it is busy they will take your number and call when your table is ready. Great selection of sushi rolls and other items. We got only sushi and it was all very fresh and delicious. Service was fast as well. Prices were reasonable. I would return if in the area again.

Super yummy vegetarian sushi and ramen. The host did a good job recommending dishes that we liked. The mushroom creamy ramen was not rich or heavy at all, and the vegetarian sushi was particularly good.

I like the options for the bento boxes served for lunch. Quick service, good food at a reasonable price.

The service was lackluster. The waitress forgot one person’s dish and when asked about it, did not apologize or admit her mistake, so the food came out after the majority of our party had finished. She also never refilled our water cups.
The food was fine. The hamachi burrito was good, but small. The creamy mushroom ramen was ok. One sushi roll had some rotten avocado.

A quaint Japanese restaurant tucked in the second-floor corner of East Mall--it's easy to miss if you're not intentionally looking for it. But it deserves more recognition for being one of the more affordable meals in Japan Town. It's possible to get a delicious entree for less than $20. A bento with two items, salad, rice and miso soup comes out to $15.99 before tax and tip. The tonkatsu has a crispy breading, and the takoyaki is simple but well-made. The servers were friendly, and the food came out fast. I'd come back for a no-fuss bento meal for sure!
