The rolls weren't spectacular compared to other places. The staff did not acknowledge us at the front entrances table for about 10 minutes. I did the little move -around, pace -back -and -forth thing to get noticed and chatted with my son so the staff would hear, but nothing...just rude. After the kitchen staff came out from the back to place another order next to ours, an older gentleman (manager?)that was ignoring us finally got off of his phone and then greeted us, asked what we needed and grabbed our order which was only two feet away (we also forgot to request the chopstix which was a nice touch)Lol yeahNo, not really reccomended.
Bento boxes are recommended

Cute little place that feels like an authentic Japanese restaurant. The food is just okay but they have good deals.

I went on an early Tuesday afternoon because I wanted seating and no wait. That's exactly what I got inside, I sat down immediately and picked out what I came here for, pork okonomiyaki. The store has a moderate number of seats, and only a few people were present ordering, so I got my food pretty quickly. The okonomiyaki arrives on a hot plate that keeps it hot, and they provide a spatula to cut and serve it. Food is really really good, I started eating and then remembered to take a picture halfway thru, which is why half the food is gone in the picture. There's a good amount of pork, and the okonomiyaki has a crunch that's best when it just arrives at your table. I gulped up the whole dish and felt both happy and full. During the meal the waiter came to refill my water a few times.
Given that this is in the japantown mall, it is most likely crowded and busy on weekends at mealtimes. But if you're able to get a table, I recommend this place, especially the okonomiyaki. They had a few other flavours that I want to try next time I come here.

Small shop but the sushi and sashimi are awesome. Stopped in for an appetizer but now I’m mad dinner isn’t here.

My guess is this is a family business. For someone who has been to Japan, i would say the food here tasted very similar to what I've had in Japan. The $15.99 set is unbeatable especially in an expensive city like San Francisco. High recommend the Saba Shio and Tonkatsu, very delicious. The Okonomiyaki gets great rating here but to me it was just meh. The Unagi Don on the other hand, has not been mentioned in any reviews here, is amazing. $24.99 but they chose the best cut of eel, very well seasoned and melt in your mouth texture. The rice to eel ratio is perfect. It was hand down on of the best Unagi Don I have had, comparable to Japan. Service is quick, we did arrive when they just opened so there was no wait but i could imagine the place could get packed during rush hours and limited seating. Also you would wanna look at the menu by the door and decide what you want, DO NOT opened their menu book, it smells horrible

I got a spicy crunchy roll and it was okay. Not good, not bad, just okay. The service and ambience of the place were really nice, so I’d give this place a 3.5 stars review

The menu smelled like mold / stinky feet and I didn’t want to take a chance at a sushi restaurant, so I left before ordering.
Really enjoyed my lunch date here. Our appetisers were veggie gyoza (decent) and veggie croquette (spectacular, gimme 14 of em). Then we tried the Baked Salmon Sushi and the Super Dynamite Roll. My favourite was the baked salmon, husband’s favourite was the super dynamite - so safe to say they were both delicious and tasted fresh! Would absolutely come again. I was amazed at the menu selection - the sushi alone is extensive and there’s absolutely something for everyone. But beyond that they ALSO have ramen, udon, all kinds of katsu, onomiyaki, and way more. Incredible, can’t wait to come back and try other things. Besides the food, both the server and the chef (owner?) were extremely kind and hospitable. We had a couple dietary/allergy restrictions that needed our sushi to be modified and they went above and beyond to swap ingredients to meet our needs, while still asking US if that’s okay !! We felt very cared for and so happy with the service and the food quality.

Fantastic sashimi. Very high quality. I had the yellowtail, tuna, salmon. Also has the scallop and yellowtail nigiri. The pot sticks were great and the chicken on a stick was very good. Great value. 10/10.
