Their rolls seem really good.
Not a lot of good Japanese food in Oregon, so it was nice to get a taste of home when I stopped in for dinner.

My husband and I went for dinner on a Sunday night. He was craving ramen, and I wanted sushi, so this spot seemed perfect. The menu looked interesting with good vegetarian options, and the ambience was clean and pleasant. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.
We ordered a sushi roll, vegetarian ramen and appetizer, clearly informing the server about my husband’s food allergies. Despite that, the appetizer contained the very ingredient he’s allergic to, which we only discovered after he took a few bites. My Shogun Special roll was also missing the tuna that the menu listed. When we raised these issues, the server dismissed our concerns, insisting the tuna was present and minimizing the allergy mistake as “just a few peas.”
The response felt unprofessional and unwelcoming, with no effort to correct their errors. Overall, the food was average, and given the experience, I’d recommend other ramen and sushi spots in SF that do a much better job.

Restaurantji Recommends
Order: Beef Curry Udon
The taste of the curry was fantastic and noodles were what you'd expect, however, for being beef curry there were only 4 chunks of beef in it (yes I counted). I wouldn't go again based on the amount of meat served.
The staff were nice and food is good. The menu is fairly large, so I’m not sure what they do best here. We had the Tonkatsu and Spicy ramen - both I feel could have had more flavor. There is a happy hour deal 3pm - 5pm Monday - Thursday.

I was surprised that a Japanese restaurant in the Japan town offered such “fake” Japanese food. (I’m Japanese).
If American think, that is a Japanese tonkatsu, it’s horrible.
Staff was friendly anyway.

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The quality of the food was poor — some dishes were overcooked while others were undercooked. There was also an unpleasant smell coming from the food, and the chicken was very dry. Overall, the meal did not meet our expectations
