I didn't have a single dish where I thought "wow, this tastes good." Mostly cold, weird combinations, just overall not good.

While the staff and ambience were lovely, the food was really disappointing for a bar in The Proper. The menu was minimal to begin with, but things like the garlic shrimp and petrale sole were very bland. We ended up using a lot of their homemade hot sauce to make the food flavorful. We went at 7:30pm on a Saturday and only one other couple came in the entire time we were there, which was a bad sign. I do hope they improve, as it could be an awesome spot if they borrowed a chef from Charmaine's upstairs.

Sad to write this because the service was great. Had a Negroni that was absolutely terrible. It tasted like straight gin $18 I only had a sip. The resturant is also a bit oddly situated, it felt like a triangular lobby.

Honestly a top notch spot. The food is tasty, and the service is so wholesome. The pork shoulder stew is my absolute favorite. Would 10/10 recommend others to come and try, especially for a cute date night or friend get together.

La Bande was fine. It isn't clear on the website that all parties over 3 people will be seated outside. They do have heat lamps and umbrellas outside, but it was very windy and cold on our visit there and the heat lamps were rendered pretty much useless. The sizes for share plates were not consistent or clear on the menu, for the price of the meal, it didn't feel like a good value. The quality of the food was also just okay. The service was spotty and wasn't very organized, someone ran a few plates to our table and didn't know what they were putting down. Overall, it wasn't a great experience for us.

Good menu offerings. A couple of tapas we ordered were on the salty side, but the skirt steak was delicious. Service could improve... had wave down waiters for water refills, then again for ordering dessert and coffee. Espresso was delivered, but had to ask for sugar and a spoon.

Food tastes average, nothing stands out. Per person $50+. Can definitely have better choices. Highly chance won’t come back.

Didn't realize it was outdoor seating! It was drizzling, but the umbrella and gas heater kept things tolerable. Food was delicious! Service excellent. As typical for Tapas, the prices were high. Plenty of road noise-buses, ambulance...but totally convenient to the Orpheum Theatre. Will definitely go back.

I visited La Bande on a weekday around 5pm. It wasn't crowded initially, but it got busier as the evening went on. I didn't try the food, but their espresso martini was amazing. I sat at the bar with no wait, and the service was on point. Highly recommend!

My husband and I got the chefs tasting menu and two cocktails. The best thing was hands down the sourdough bread with chili sauce. Everything else was really... meh. My husband thought it was mainly bland. I found some things very flavorful but everything just not quite right. On the plus side there was a ton of food and it came quickly and the presentation was nice, on the downside everything was just a 3/5 stars. Overall I was just disappointed because it felt like it should be good. I definitely do not recommend it. The cocktails were also only okay and the cocktail menu was underwhelming. I wouldn't consider it a cocktail bar, like noted in yelp. I didn't like how small the tables were for the number of small dishes brought out or that the seats were all stools (zero back support). The restaurant was also cold, so I had to wear my overcoat through dinner even though I was wearing a sweater and long pants. I also didn't like that you had to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom or the hotel.
