My favorite Italian restaurant in the city.

Arriving for our dinner the place was empty - normally a bad sign. But it turns out, we were just dining a little early as the place filled up quickly. There was this really great Italian beer I've never seen before - it was awesome. The food was great. I am always a little nervous when it is my turn to pick dinner for such a large group - this placed delivered. The lasagna - which they claim is more traditional than other places - was the highlight.

A gem in soma area. There are several dishes I miss from time to time. Lamb ragu pasta and baked halibut are my favorite. Reservation is easy to make. Staff were welcoming.

TV-dinner grade pasta sauce.

Quite possibly the best Italian food I've had in San Francisco, definitely pay them a visit.

Still love the simple olive oil and bread here most of all. It's to die for!

Wasn't overly impressed with the restaurant. People have commented that it is authentic and "beautiful". To me it looks dated and dim, especially when compared to the other restaurants just a few blocks away at the same price point. The prices at this restaurant to me are overly inflated - not justified by either ambience nor food. Ordered the grilled fish along with broccolini. It was fine but nothing truly stood out. I had a side of pasta and it didnt taste fresh and the broccolini was quite bitter. Bread was served but it was cold. I was the only one in the restaurant that night so maybe they didn't have fresh made bread but if you're open everyone should have the same top notch experience. Tiramisu was nice and coffee was flavorful - a great ending to a mediocre night.

I've had almost everything on the lunch menu and it is all very good.

We had a group of six people came to this beautiful Tuscany restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious with decent size. The squid ink pasta reminded me the one i had in Venice. I gave four stars because the servants were not always around and we had to fill the drinks ourselves.

order the mushroom truffle pasta, it was really good! 9/10And order the creme caramel for dessert, it was 5/10, too sweet and it can not hold its shape.

My second favorite Italian restaurant in the city and favorite in the neighborhood.Tried their seafood appetizers, salads and entrees on numerous occasions. Never disappointed. Service is a bit on the slow side but pretty good otherwise.

Good wine! Ask for a wine recommendation. Gluten free options available upon request. It can get busy for dinner towards later evening hours, so come towards early evening or make a reservation.

Nice low key Italian restaurant in Soma. Very reasonably priced wine list. Northern Italian style. Great service. Generous portion of vin Santo and desserts.

The waiter was actually Italian which was a vote of confidence that didn't fail at any point throughout the meal! Great service and delicious options. I had a wine and seafood pasta, all of which I enjoyed greatly. Portions are large so come hungry!

Small, but quaint, with good service and your usual Italian favorites.
