My wife and I used to live in the Mission district 15 yrs ago, and this was our all-time favorite. The papusas are amazing and made right in front of you. We live in Seattle now and have yet to find another El Salvadorian place like this.

Horible, the waiters are not courteous for a long time ? Sol wanted to move from my chair and he told me no because I already sat down, the food was late and they spoke ugly to me. I believe that there are ways to express oneself, I am not the only one who was dissatisfied, there were other people and they are also too slow.

Why does it claim to be a Salvadoran restaurant and they don't serve Salvadoran tortillas when you order Salvadoran food? Yesterday I ordered a beef soup and it didn't have any flavor and it seemed like they had been making it for days. They had been boiled many times total I think I would not recommend this restaurant and then only cahs to evade taxes

Horrible and lousy Restaurant Natanbaky recommended it but I stumbled back from Oregon visiting this place
I enter the restaurant even though there is no parking there with all that crowd of dangerous people.
They tell me only cash ???
When loncheras that are just starting out have the flexibility to receive payment with a debit or credit card
To make matters worse, he tells me that I have to leave him my license to secure my order since I had to go “in search of cash.”
When that is terrible of this employee.
Honestly, I was surprised since no restaurant, no matter how prestigious it was, has never asked me for my license unless it is paid by credit card... terrible place.

On the menu they announce that you will have to wait at least 25 minutes and it is true. It took about half an hour between entering and receiving my dish.

Good service and good food. I would go again knowing that I am not in a hurry.

I had not gone to Santanenca for 6 years because the service was a bad experience for me. Surprisingly, the same people are there. They are tired of doing their job. The quality is no longer the same. The prices do not match when it comes to paying the bill. In my account there is a difference of $6 and plus the tip I prefer not to Recommend this place REFRESH THE PLACE WITH NEW STAFF THE CITY SHOULD DO A CHECK IN THIS PLACE BECAUSE ONLY CASH????.

I had previously bought here but I was disappointed, after months I bought some pupusas again, but I was disappointed again, the bitter sauce, the horrible curtido and the very bad pupusas, I think so but I don't recommend it, it is my sincere experience

We had a very good experience. Curtido was good. The salsa is the only thing, I like traditional pupusa salsa. Pupusas were good. Fried plantains were excellent. Chelate was really good.

Vegetarian options: Is a matter of asking, refried beans only pupusas are available.
