There were flies on the bread and it was hard, maybe I was unlucky because it looks delicious but what I bought was already hard

I was craving some pan de muerto so i decided to go to the mission to buy some. My intent was to go to another bakery, but when I got there I realized they were cash only and I didn't have any cash on me. I was in a bit of a hurry, and although I had already tried La Victoria when I first moved to San Francisco and didn't like it, I figured it might have been a fluke, so I decided to try it again. I bought a pan de muerto, a nuez(a bread that resembles the shape of a walnut), an elote(one that looks like corn), and an alfajor. It was all about 10 dollars. As soon as I left the bakery, I tried the nuez and the elote, and while the flavors were good, they were dry and tasted a bit stale. Full disclosure, I did not try the pan de muerto and the alfajor until two days later, but when I tried them, they were also stale AND the flavors were not there. I will say I have high standards when it comes to pan dulce (I grew up in Mexico eating pan dulce with my family) but even then, I would expect more freshness and better flavor to give this bakery a higher rating). Even when I've had two day old pan dulce in the past, it's tasted fresher than what I've had from La Victoria. I will say though, the staff is very friendly and attentive, so no issues with that.

Mediocre panaderia. Like whatYou would get out of a corner store. There are better bakeries in the neighborhood.

Went early this morning, concha I got was fresh. Way better than most I’ve had, very airy and moist. Woman working was friendly and the place was very clean.

Total came out to $4.50 for three breads. All felt very distinct, over all pretty delicious

Traditional Mexican bread, although little variety when I went

Unfortunately not the best experience. We bought a to good to go bag and all came with very old bread.

Very friendly staff, a nice selection of Mexican breads, cakes and pastries. Overall, the breads I've tried there are fresh, have good texture, and not overly sweet. Always try to stop by when I'm in the area.

My favorite panadería on Mission. Fresh and really delicious sweets. Their bread pudding with raisins and pineapple filled cake is to die for!

Concha $1.50Galleta $1.50Oreja $3.50I think this may be my new favorite place for Mexican bread. The oreja is a bit more expensive but it’s sooooo gooood. Conchas and galletas I’ve always liked here as. They’re always more moist than other places I’ve been.$5 card minimum

I tried the huge croissant and a dessert with cream and both were delicious. Coffee is also very good and cheaper than all the other in the city and the staff is amazing. My favorite place, very suggested.
